Well there's an obvious benefit to taking bats over cells. You sacrifice time every time you "slow heal" (hence the name). Hal's thought is probably just "I want to re-engage ASAP". It's obvious when you're in a building not getting push to slow heal, but it's not so straight forward when you're looking for kills, 3rd parties, or to reposition.

Repeater is 40 dmg (possibly even more) and you can peak for just a milisecond. Much better for knockdown fights and finishing kills. Its like a shotgun. Plus looting can get you killed. If you think about it it make sense.

You guys gotta give him the benefit of the doubt. He is igling and a million thoughts are going through his head, a million decisions are being made and not every single one will be the right one. Not to mention, even in his good games there will never ever ever be one in which no mistakes are made. He is prob predicting next zone, figuring out where teams are or what they will do, its a highly stressful role and there is a reason why TSM is a top tier team, bc Hal is a great IGL. Not even glazing or anything there are plenty of streamers i prefer to watch but Hal is a great player despite being lowk annoying at times.
