Lets be real contesting TSM is not a good strat for winning any tournament. Sure they be doing the lobby a favor by making it harder for TSM to win. But the difference is TSM can actually still win it while Meat on the other hand has non of that clutch factor so even when they win the contest they still ain't going to win the tournament.
It's cause meat have no intention of contesting come tourney in the first place, they're just being good friends and making sure TSM are warmed up to get another win by practicing being bots

@@solace8622 Teq never qualified for LAN before so I doubt he will qualify this split especially when he is contesting Tempr and TSM almost every game. Him winning 50/50 of the contests and doing decently made people forget he isn't a good IGL. Contesting is moot when you don't have the ability to win games/score points to make up for the games when you lose the contest.
What will happen is TSM will likely score more points when both teams are not in the same lobby in Algs as we've seen every time and qualify for LAN anyway and Meat is unlikely to qualify if they choose to keep this up.

Play your life = for you to stay alive bc either your other tm8s are going to die by being split or you’re alone and are going to be pushed. Ape = push up aggressively bc your team has an opening to wipe the whole enemy team. Play safe = play passive/logical and dont get greedy/ ego challenge

Jordan’s lack of confidence in his combat ability is kinda being exposed a little here with these contests imo.
When Hal is downed after doing damage to 2 of them he calls “you can win this Evan” like he’s the only one alive despite Jordan literally hiding in his knockdown 💀

@@thedoopster8110 there’s many examples I could give. When chasing down one guy instead of sticking with Evan his immediate thought process is “can I play for the res?” Instead of just wiping the team.
@@AwesomeGingersFtw By all means, give those examples as I don't think that they are as black and white as you're portraying. In regards to the play you mentioned, it makes more sense to revive and finish the bloodhound as 3 because this prevents a third party and reduces the risk of bloodhound 2 v 1ing. Reps didn't push early on when Hal was down because he was holding the entire bottom floor.
@@thedoopster8110 Hal literally said for him not to play for the res? He wanted him to 2v1 and by the time he went to support Evan he’d finished him off already. He also had no need to play for the bottom floor on the knockdown when Evan was already engaging them above, 2 of them were low af and they all could’ve been killed quicker had he been more aggressive.
Another example since you asked, when he was running using the cannon Hal asked if he had a gun to shoot him with as he landed and his immediate response was “who is it?” because he was conscious of it being a horizon instead of just being ready to fight them as they land.
@@AwesomeGingersFtw Hal isn't always correct, Hal saying something doesn't equate it to being 100% true. With that being said, you're basing your statement on what happened, and not what COULD have happened (which is what Reps was doing). If Evan pushes them up top and they swing downward, they can finish Hal and turn it into a full 3 v 2. Reps being there prevented them from swinging downward. It was the smarter play. The second point about the cannon doesn't mean that Reps lacks confidence in his combat skills. He asked an important question and Hal didn't respond fast enough because he didn't have the information. Trying to kill there was a desperation play for 1 point. Nothing you've said (edit for typo) indicates a lack of confidence in his combat skills, if anything, all you've said is that Reps plays more consciously and is making smarter decisions.
In case you say; "Hals the best IGL therefore his calls are always correct". You should watch the recent ALGS's and scrims, Hal constantly makes mistakes that Raven corrects when it comes to macro calls.
