Awesome job, the clever way of using steel bars lying flat to give more stability and strength. Just brilliant. People who are commenting on temp control and making overly complicated systems, I am sure he is aware of his environment more then people commenting.
That's a heavy Bio-Load for a first-time stocking but damn I'm so impressed with what he did with the most basic of tools, a clever and all while in his flip-flop sandals. I'd definitely hire him to build one at my house 💯 (and I used to own a custom pond and aquarium construction company for about 30 years till I lost it in the recession of 07').
I love the design, the filtration is so easy to access. I like that that you can see the koi from all sides, but he should have stopped at 3 maybe 4 koi at the most. There are some gorgeous fish in there.
so love your work i wish they would let me do something like this where we live as we have a communial garden but we aint alowed to do anything with it keep up the good work my friend
Great job. If I may suggest a cover for the filter along with the tank( and an overflow as well). It’s a shallow tank and koi fishes along with any fish in a shallow tank needs shade from the sun. FYI
@@AgstnHope_02 Have you calculated your fish load per gallon? I can only imagine what your filters are pulling out. They must need to be cleaned very often. My fish load is at max. My 2 bio falls filters need cleaning at least every 2 weeks. However my water remains crystal clear. Bacteria is 💪🏻. I also have a small bog filter. 3 waterfalls running. But hey if you’re happy and the Koi are happy, I’m happy. 😃
It is common practice in South East Asia to use banana tree pieces and pineapple skins to treat a new cement pond. The decaying material releases acids to counteract the calcium hydroxide from fresh cement.
yes. All cement needs to be cure of it before putting fish it or they automatically died from the cement leeching out of the water. In america you would let water soak for days and rinse / repeat many times with fish safe chemicals since we don't have banana plant stock laying around
The banana tree is cut and thrown into a pond to clear the water due to its natural ability to absorb and filter out impurities. I have seen others do this as well.
Can someone explain the banana trees being cut up?? Would make more sense to me if he didn't drain it. Also funny how he fills it with a pipe first then a hose the second time. Was it a different source?
I'm not an expert in construction, but, God, I have so many doubts about this construction. I am from Mexico, here you could never do that without foundation chains and castles because our country is in a seismic zone, at least in my location. And even then there will always be the risk of cracks. The most important question is, how safe is there that the pressure of the water on the glass will resist just by using the edge of the base of the ceramic floor? I was surprised that only the contour of the glass floor is supporting the pressure, this because, the concrete will absorb moisture from the ground, the external weather, and even from the internal tank itself, which will push out of the concrete mixture what we call saltpeter here, and the saltpeter, after a few years, will possibly detach the ceramic floor that supports the pressure of the frame. Of course putting a stainless steel bar on top in a gap made with the concrete mixture would leave me a little unsure if it could give it greater resistance, although of course, concrete has a resistance of 250kg/cm. And of course the individual corners supporting the load as well, here a minimum 10x10 armex type castle is mandatory, or only with brick, here doing that would not pass the test of time with any movement from an earthquake or the vibration itself in urban areas with the cars. The cracks would be everywhere in no time. But all the work on the channel is very beautiful, dozens of people have probably taken many ideas from here, so I hope the income from these videos gives them the benefit they bring to the community. Hugs from México.

Nice sir😊😊😊
what is the bananas for?
It is common practice in South East Asia to use banana tree pieces and pineapple skins to treat a new cement pond. The decaying material releases acids to counteract the calcium hydroxide from fresh cement.
Awesome, i see comments for too many fish. You must be doing something right considering they are large and healthy..
Nice
😍😍😍
Are the purpose of the banana plant to absorb chemicals?
yes. All cement needs to be cure of it before putting fish it or they automatically died from the cement leeching out of the water. In america you would let water soak for days and rinse / repeat many times with fish safe chemicals since we don't have banana plant stock laying around

Which colour is this ...?????
Beautiful pond - why does he cut the banana tree into the water?
Does it do anything for the concrete?
The banana tree is cut and thrown into a pond to clear the water due to its natural ability to absorb and filter out impurities. I have seen others do this as well.
do these get taken down again as installation place seems to be same lot of time , loooks great though.
Porque colocar pé de banana?
Can someone explain the banana trees being cut up??

koi fish
28:01 wow 😲
trang này của người việt mình à bạn?
sir does the overflow on top prevent water from leaking wen it rains?
If it was here in Canada the cost for the pond would be about 2000 and for the koi 50000
Here in india palghar maharastra.....it will cost 12,000 to build the pond, and 20,000 for big size koi fish....
@@donmarcel916708
Good job, but Koi like jumping, so it's a little bit dangerous.
Why soak the plant and then drain it completely ?
testing for leak. plant will color water which will be noticeable if leaks.
What's with the chopped stuff every time? During what is I presume leak testing.
NICE SHARING

why you use palm in the water ? Good job !
Its a banana tree. They use it for detoxing the pond.

Thts not palm ... thts banana plant...
I think its for the ph correction bcz banana plant is rich in potassium and r alkaline in nature...
It is for detoxing the pond…
