Pile 3 is incredibly accurate to my situation with him, so much so, I felt really defensive towards the beginning as I've had enough of the excuses and stagnant energy- only to end up in something confusing and disappointing. As much as I know he is protective of me, I experienced a lot of difficulty in connecting to him while he did so much to maintain a false sense of independence (while pandering to others in his life, setting no clear boundaries or valuing self love).
Thank goodness the story did a complete 180 towards the end. He has been showing up differently as well and I'm really grateful for the positive changes and to see effort restored in nurturing our connection.. and ourselves in a healthy way.
