Pile 1: I’m not sure whether he wants a lover or a therapist. I broke up with this person 4 months ago because of the off and on nature of the relationship, as you describe. I gave up because I was exhausted. I’m not sure whether I have the energy for it even with change, although this describes exactly the kind of change I would like to see. I would love to see him turn inward and learn about himself. I will think about unblocking him and seeing what he has to say.

I needed this advice, and I love you were so honest with what needs to be done. I am pile 2, his an avoidant n am an anxious so it's so diffcult. Indeed his so pessimistic, he doesn't believe in love.
