Yes, the first (set of) successful test drive(s) (in both Prius and Leaf based cars) was very thrilling!

Big respect for this effort for sure! I followed progress of course in the forum and wondered how you can be sure the motor model behaves like a real motor. It worked in the end of course, but I assumed at some point you would need to spin a motor on the bench fast & with a load to provoke the error and tighten your think - deploy - test loop. Maybe this is something to ask Pete at some point!

After going back and forth between simulated and real car and Pete making adjustments, we could see the two converge. A test bench with two motors would fill in the gap but is quite an expensive and room-taking endeavour

Could you please teach us active short circuit, derating and limp pump mode?

Derating I could do, the other two I've never heard about. What's a limping pump and active short circuit?
