VARMS - Moseppl Maiden November 2023

What is a "Moseppl"? A motor glider dating from 1970. The model that is the subject of this clip existed kit form for many years. It appears nobody was brave enough to find out whether the thing would fly. Finally, a bloke named "Sepp" was given the opportunity to take the kit under his wing and finally get it all together. How could Sepp say no! Together it went. What a good job. But would it fly? Well, yes. What was everyone so worried about?

Great job! Lovely to see another Moseppl take to the Australian skies!! Don't be too worried about the bouncing - my slightly smaller 1/6 scale Moseppl with wheels does the same thing!! 😃

Hi Seamus! We had a Favel av361 in the club. It seems to have disappeared. Wings are good. They offer an altered set of equations!

That's true,a kind of copy of FAUVEL formula .Colonel Ch.FAUVEL, French Test Pilot n°37,deposited his first patent at the age of 23 in 1929.His first glider AV 3 flew in 1933.His first motorised plane AV 10,two seater side by side flew in 1935,and was the first tailless plane in the world to receive a regular Certificate of Airworthiness. Plane disappeared at the invasion of
France in 1940.Then came AV 36 in 1950,built under licence in Germany as AV 361,then two seater tandem AV 22,and after motor gliders AV 45 and AV 221 .Beautiful model, congrats and cheers France from.nCh.FAUVEL daughter.

thanks for reply iam a kind of expert on the favel av 361 i got full size plans from canada in the 70s and made a small start lucky i met a guy who had one and advised me to stop as i was not skilled enough. i just retired from full size gliding i have an ellots olympia and a swiss dinmant 18 and i make my own models a kirby kite and tiger moth quarter scale love your site as i said you guys are smart no messing i will watch from now on good day@@eriklapparent4662
