    Hello, friends! This is a recipe that I shared a few years back in a FB live - so I wanted to update and condense the video so it was much shorter and to the point! This is a great recipe when you want something easy, and quick - in a healthier sweet tooth kind of way :)

    This was SO easy and SO good. I read the comments and made some tweaks. Used dried cranberries instead of chocolate chips, air fried the oats for 5 mins @ 350*F and since I'm seed cycling I added pumpkin seeds in addition to the flax seeds. I also used slightly less cranberries, honey and peanut butter to pull back on the sugar/sweetness a little bit. Super yummy. I got 14 balls. I'll make them again later this month but will swap the seeds for sesame & sunflower.

  • @angelajg
    @angelajg Před 2 lety +20

    Love these energy balls. I rolled some of mine in sesame seeds at the end. I also used toasted oats (I had already toasted 3 cups for another recipe, but decided to use some of it for this one instead). If you prefer your oats toasted instead of raw, I did 350° for 18 min., then let them cool completely before adding to the recipe.

    Thank you! I just made these and they are scrumptious…and, as you say, so easy!
    I combined a quarter cup of crunchy peanut butter with a quarter cup of almond butter, and used the pure maple syrup; I also used 60% cacao chips rather than mini chocolate chips. My husband, who typically doesn’t enjoy my healthy snacks, really likes these! Yay! Though, this might mean fewer for me. 😒 😆 Oh well! 🤷🏻‍♀️All blessings to you and your lovely family.

I already make a similar homemade treat by using reconstituted PB2, rolled oats, honey, golden raisins or craisins, cinnamon, and on a wild and crazy day I may add pecans or pumpkin seeds. The "problem" is that I eat this little treat straight from the bowl and don't create little bite sized balls which are better portion control! 😅

    I was craving something a little sweet tonight and was going to make your 4 ingredient peanut butter oatmeal banana cookies, but realized my husband used up most of the browned bananas I had stashed in the freezer. Oh well. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Fortunately I had also saved this recipe and it's so simple I had all the ingredients handy. I subbed in nut butter but otherwise followed the recipe. They were a little difficult to roll into balls since they just wanted to stick to my hands, but not a big deal. I nibbled the last dregs from the bottom of the bowl and ate one ball and that sufficed to quell my sweet tooth! For their size they're pretty hearty and filling! And gluten free so it's a win-win! Thanks, Dani!

    I squished the mixture into a square baking tin and baked them for 15-20 mins at 180 degrees. I cudnt cope with the wet sticky texture. I swapped the flax seeds for 50/50 mix of chia seeds and shredded coconut. Also swapped the honey foe maple syrup. Am loving this recipe though.
