okay, so normally I don't comment on things like this but I just wanted to say one quick thing... can we all stop with the comments saying "you copied KelliMaple" or "KelliMaple did this first". lot's of reborn youtubers make similar videos or videos on the same topic, it just happens. and if we all want to get really technical, I made my video on February 17, 2017 and Kelli did hers on July 7, 2017. her video was wonderful on this topic as well! I'm just sick and tired of everyone commenting on my video saying that I copied her... no one copied anyone ;)

there’s no way you could do that. you need a car seat or a baby carrier. there’s so many ways you could tell it’s a doll, first it’s not breathing or blinking, second it’s not moving. so if you don’t have a car seat then get a baby carrier

I love reborn babies personally I think a sleeping baby looks more realistic because if someone looks at your baby for a little bit they can tell they are not blinking so thank you for the tips!!!!

I agree but some have the most realistic and beautiful eyes even tho the sleeping one's are adorable I prefer eyes open lol
True and when a baby has open eyes(awake) and people stare at it for too long and the baby won't even blink, or change facial expression they might think that it is dead. Whereas a sleeping baby normal lies still.
@@manal.daoudi actually a lot more people think the sleeping ones a dead because the artists paint them so blue, I have 3 awake babies and no one has ever thought there dead they just realize there a doll but it depends I've had so many people stare at my baby for at least 5 minutes and have never questioned it. most asleep babies are very unrealistic as you have to capture every single newborn detail which is impossible but with awake reborns there are barely any awake newborns but with the 3-month babies which I have as well as a sleeping newborn they think there real because 0-3 babies don't sleep much depends on the baby and the person, Merry Christmas I hope you have an amazing one and get loads of gifts.

One tip i would recommend would be check the straps. The loose straps are a dead giveaway. As a mom i would spot that right away. Preferably the straps should follow the two finger rule. Only enough space to fit in two fingers. And the shoulder straps should be at OR below the shoulders. If the doll is between two slats, go for the lower one. Just a few tips for how a real baby would be in the carrier.
MoJaSa15 yup. You really shouldnt put extra padding in there and strap covers are an awful idea.

All the carseat add ons could be a giveaway. Most parents now follow current guidelines stating no added fluff or pads on the carseat. Otherwise good tips

It’s a hassle bringing real babies around with you ; I can’t imagine bringing a doll around lol what happens if you leave it in the car running into the store 😹 someone Will call the cops that’s how real it looks.
I am saving for a reborn baby boy, as I already have a reborn baby girl and I wanted her to have a “brother” (my girl is sleeping so I will get him sleeping too as I prefer them sleeping) and this was quite useful ❤️ thanks
