I finally got to join in on a Band Maid video while its new! What do you think of Protect You? 😁🤟🐦
Hi Jason! The lyrics are relevant to the anime this was composed for. "Protect You" was commissioned as the ending theme for the TV anime "Grendizer U,"
And we all know how much research Miku puts into coming up with her lyrics.

"Glory" was used as an ending theme in 'Yuu Gi Ou: Vrains'
"Carry On Living" was used as the ending theme in 'Quiz Tokiko-san'
"Sense" was commissioned as both the opening and ending song for 'Platinum End'
"Different" was commissioned as the opening theme in 'Log Horizon: 3'
"Shambles" was commissioned as an ending theme for 'Kengan Ashura' (2023)
"Protect You" was commissioned as the Ending theme for the TV anime "Grendizer U,"
All have music video's except "Carry On Living" which is an album track on their 2018 "World Domination album. Enjoy!
Great reaction Jason, like everyone else, the beginning pushed us all back a bit. The maids have a number of songs that like to start with a bang and then keeping going full blast ("Unleash" comes to mind). Thanks again for reacting the Band-Maid, it helps to spread the word about this great band.

This is yet another song by these miracle maids that just feels like you got hit by an ice cream truck going 810 MPH. But somehow you want to do it again - and after you get hit enough times by said truck, the song starts making you grin. And then you know "you got it."

I absolutely have reacted to Band Maid! But this is my first time reacting to one of their songs while it is still new! My other reactions have been to their older songs 😁🤟🐦

My only misgiving with this one is the sound engineering, which kind of compresses everything together, and requires - for me, at least - multiple listenings to pick up what's going on. Typical for a mecha anime, I guess. Otherwise, it is great fun.
