    There is an actual Beach asset on the workshop that adds umbrellas and chairs to the sand without messing with the terrain... and I believe it acts as a park. Add two or three of those along the new beach area and that place will be hoppin'! Great job!

    Surely there needs to be a pedestrian bridge over to that island with the ruins where the river splits? I’d imagine that’d be a tourist attraction in real life!

    Hi Biffa, the reason why the cars are driving over the parking spaces is because you've put the parking spaces at the wrong side of the road. One side is for parking, the other one for driving. Just flip them around and you'll be fine ;)

      This. The driving and parking sides are decided by the direction in which you draw the road.

      Well that all sounds like good advice. But I watched those roads when he did put the parking on the other side. Cars still turned at the end and drove through the parked cars. Deup and Daniel SZ seem to agree but that didnt happen and the cars kept driving through the parked cars. Maybe the road needs to loop back on itself.

    Biffe, when you're selecting all the nodes with the move-it mod at 21:20 (ish)... there is an easier way to do it with the network multitool.
    Select the 2 end nodes and make them to the height you want with move-it... then just use the slope tool from end to end. it'll bring everything to level. :)

    Biffa asked if we would like to visit this new recreational area. Personally, trying to live, shop or recreate directly under the flight path of the nearby airport has always been a dream - especially since there is no real way to get there, except by subway, because there is no direct road access to the Mall. Nothing says, "shop till you drop" more than having to carry everything by hand, all around the area... ;-)

    Know what would be super interesting to see? Going over all the older areas you've built and see if you still feel the same about them as when you built them? Upgrade them, remove them completely, rebuild or leave them be and see what changes you'll eventually make if any at all!

    Biffa, draw your parking roads in the other direction in order to fix the cars from driving over each other. It matters if you draw them in from right to left or left to right. Look at the road coloring.

    Awesome addition Biffa! Looks really plush and is buzzing with life! Definitely a place folks would want to stay. I think you should add some tennis courts and maybe beach volleyball nearer the beach. Maybe even a cricket pitch or a driving range... after the agony of the Africa challenge, its funny watching you glide through all the transit issues without a care in the world! 😅

    The covered area on the pier in real life is a miniature railway used to ferry people up and down the pier.

    Fun Video Biffa. But I wish you would spend more time on the detailing. With that new area you just used you could do a whole episode on the details. Pavements, trees, planters, bushes, submersible rocks, different fences, etc...

    Fun fact: on the pier, that long, low building is referred to as a "transfer shed" - the idea was that a ship would sail up, drop off its cargo, and then store it (temporarily) in the transfer shed. then, a few days later, another ship would come along and pick it up and take it on to its final destination. While transfer sheds could, in fact, be long thin sheds, they were as ofen as not just open-air covered areas down the middle of the pier.
    This was, interestingly enough, a massive improvement in logistics for harbors. Previously, ships would just dump their cargo off on the pier and let it sit there, or else have to bring it into town to store it in a warehouse. (Or alternately a transfer shed at the base of the pier, or something.) Having large piers that you could store things on was a major simplification to hauling stuff around - especially if you just using that pier as a transfer point, rather than delivering it to the local city.

    Have you seen City Planner Play’s mod for lane maths? In his highway code video he has a mod where he can choose the amount of lanes and it keeps the original road. So taking a 4 lane highway with barriers will change it to 2 lane with barriers.

    7:25 Is there a node on the overpass so that vehicles crossing over can change lanes and continue to go straight? Or are the ones in the dedicated straight lane forced to turn left onto the highway ramps?

    Biffa,
    I always wanted to see one of you guys do this thing I am about to explain, I just think its a neat concept and would be very hard to do, but I think out of all people you would be able to do it. So, if Biffa doesn't want to do this, and you are a great creator with great sound like Biffa, please try yourself and let me know. I think this would be so cool.
    1. Go through history to even make the roads even feel more natural.
    a. Unlock all the map, and start really small towns maybe just 2 to 3 of each type of zoning area, 3 house, 2 commercial and one factory. Do not have them connected anywhere, just put these towns in places that make sense, near water, near agriculture etc. After you have all your little cities developed, connect them using a dirt road, and use the fast way point A to point B. Don't worry about road hierarchy, dont worry about anything that comes to traffic on the roads. And, one you get that done, (maybe use old assets like the old west or something). Start growing each little city bit by bit. And, once the cities grows a little more add brick roads instead of dirt. And go through history, is what I am getting at. Use horse and carriages at first. I am not sure how you would do it, but I think it would be neat to see a history playlist of this game.

    Love the new area! Great job as usual Biffa. One thing I think would definitely need to be included in this area would be a hotel or two next to the convention center. Because this area is built within close proximity to the airport, I could see the hotels serving both areas. I was very relieved when you switched the condos to have the balconies face the ocean. If I were to reside there I would rather drink my cup of tea staring out at an ocean view rather than a mountain view which is partially obstructed by a road and train track.

    I think the alien rock park needs a larger area and a full fledged "park" area with all sorts of amenities. You could just turn one of the small islands into an alien rock park to accommodate ever increasing number of saved rocks...

    I think you made the right choice for stadium station. It both matches and provides shade, which would be important there.
    I really hope CS2 gives us a more friendly way to do things like the condo complex. Some balance between connecting part to road, part to path, without a full-blown ped district. It always seems harder than necessary.

    I suggest a barrier of grass, rocks, or a wall between the sand and that shoreline road for added realism. IRL sand blowing onto the street would be an issue.

    Hi biffa, I just wanted to point out that there is an underground line that I don't think got reconnected when you started that multi hub that at 2:59 is touching the pink dashed line(not sure what that represents ATM) it looks like a road going to a small roundabout

    Hey Biffa! I actually live in Weston-super-Mare opposite the Grand Pier, I can confirm it looks perfectly the same and honestly you've made it look even better in your city than in real life!

    The covered area on Westen-super-mare pier has a little train to help people get to the end.. You can walk all the way to the end and still need binoculars to see the sea the tide goes out so far :)

      Yes! The train travels the entire length of the seafront in the holiday season and the Pier route is a childhood favourite. I believe it is run by volunteers and the Council in tribute to the old Weston-super-Mare steam train express line which ran all the way up to the Pier entrance.
      Bonus:
      The next town southward from Weston-super-Mare is Burnham-on-Sea, which is home to the UK's shortest pier:)

    Ive had the too many pedestrian paths bug happen in my save with the large cargo area building, just incase you suffer in future, delete them and replace with the smaller ones then use tmpe options menu to reset pedestrian paths x

    eh, all of the condos - move them more left behind the first on beach road; i'd believe them to be more private owned and rented as bnbs. WHere they are placed now is a continuum of the conference center. Reposition them left in their own area and that will give you the space to further can expound about of the conf center. It's a cool area and some more build on this would be great.

    Good, but the beach is missing some love. Add some invisible paths so people will go there, then some beach props to make it look like it is a functioning beach; if people don't automatically walk across the invisible paths; some tours to make them.

    Beautiful place to spend the holidays. I'd be pretty annoyed that the planners built it right underneath the flight path from inbound planes though :D
    They should've considered the coastline on the other side of the highway for this. Might've ended up a little less noisy ^^

    the single line parking lot roads have directionality, which i dont think allows you to just upgrade them to switch which side cars drive on, you need to manually draw them in the other way, thats all! :) if you look closely you can kinda see the texture difference to be able to tell what way round they are in the future

    Only comment: I would turn between the road between the large pier and the conference center into one with trees either side of the road, instead of in the middle. Otherwise, the trees kinda block the perfect view.

    Railway embankment is fine, don"t touch it except when the road comes beneath it. Add more retaining walls unless your nod count is near the limit.

    Only thing I would add would be a hotel or 2 near the convention center. It would have to be a low hotel because it's on the flight path of the Cargo airport. I have never seen a convention center without a hotel nearby.

    Love the grand pier, i used to live up near weston super mare and went to the grand pier all the time, inside it there's fairground rides and dodgems etc but the long walk down is just a seating area , keep up with the good work 👏 🙌

    It looks like the wide parking lot streets are set up for traffic to move on one side and the parking spaces on the other side. If you put the spaces on the wrong side, that would cause the traffic to drive across them. Maybe drawing the road sections the other direction (or upgrading them like the one-way road sections) would swap which side is which?

    @5:00 I have driven over overpasses liek this deisgn many many ytimes, and most of them have lights... The main overpass light usualy lasts longer then the merging lanes lights though...

      In California, where I spent the vast most of me life, there are always either STOPs or lights. Here in Germany, the default is YIELDS, STOPs somewhat less common, and then rarely, lights.

    Hey Biffa - supper minor point, but I reckon that island in the river shouldn't have quay walls. Would look like more of a picture spot or world heritage site (think UNESCO) without them. Keep up the good work!

    Fix the direction of the parking roads. That's why cars are driving over the parking spots. You need to have the spots on the side with the streetlamps.

    the pools to the condos should also be on the side of the beach! also also, i dont think the pedestrian path on the metro going towards the shopping district was connected

    I think the reason you have cars driving over the parked cars is because that you placed the parking spots on the wrong side of the roadway. I believe they are driving where the roadway is designed to be within that specific road.

    You mentioned views of the beach but then proceeded to place trees in front of the buildings. I’m no scientist but I think this obstructs any view they may have.

    @2:00 will simply replacing the underground rail reinitiate all the original routs or is it needed a redo after making a change like that? Its scary to break routs.... Sometimes its a pain in the DOnkey... 😛

      Deleting the stops, and then the station (I've had problems when I haven't first deleted the stops), then reconnecting the line, and Bob's your uncle. The AI will figger out that there are conections, and things will continue.

    Howdy Biffa. Massive fan here. Iv been on the Weston super mare pier. The middle is covered walk way with a couple off claw machines. It's a good family day out. Ps I also watched the peir that was there befor this one burn down. Fun times. Search it.

    Hey biffa, love new tealand. Just wondering if it is a British thing (I'm from rural Canada) to always wrap roads around almost every building you put down. It seems like a waste of space to have that many roads and that many intersections possibly making the traffic worse

    Biffa, I'm still confused why the Trainline has to be raised all the way along - I know that you aren't going for 100% realism but it just seems unnecessary that the train track would be raises all the way along the length from the "outside" to the junction. Keep the great videos up tho, love to watch them!

    Should have put the market hall as the path from the metro, so they leave the metro straight through the market hall and emerge to the beach area

    Condos and shopping in direct line with the airport runway.. good thing CS doesn't include a high level of realism for situations like that.
