There are many people making this meal by themselves for the first time and I’m sure appreciate the how’s and why’s. I think the first time I cooked a Thanksgiving meal by myself I probably called my Mom long distance 5 or 6 times throughout the day. I can still see my kitchen, harvest gold appliances, talking to my Mom on the harvest gold wall phone and the meal turned out beautifully…thanks Mom❤

Good evening Nope and Sarah’s friends,
I thought a word from a farmer might be helpful
For those of us that don’t know “sustainable vegetables” refers to the method of growing vegetables in the farming world AND taking care of the land
    1. The use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides and insecticides are highly discouraged, , substituting with organic farming standards and practices. The synthetic chemicals do a great deal of harm, the least of which is staying in the soil for years which then transfers its components to what is grown in the soil. Hence we eat those synthetic chemicals and they also stay in our bodies.
    2. Locally grown to serve a myriad of specific and LOCAL end users. This means restaurants, on farm stores , farmers Community Supported Agriculture ( CSA) boxes, small private grocery stores and farmers markets.
    3. A very wide variety of vegetables is planted
    4. A planting rotation is planned and utilized year after year to optimize the nitrogen, phosphorus and potash levels of the soil
    5. Organic matter is utilized to improve soil quality
    6. Planned usages of hoop houses for extending the fall and spring produce.
    7. Depending on the farm infrastructure, farmers may use greenhouses and verticals farming practices to produce out of season greens and vegetables in order to satisfy demand - locally and year round.
    Hope this helps-
    Farmer Jen

    That turkey IS RAW !!
She should be ashamed and embarrassed to allow such dangerous cooking practices to be shown to the public.
Moulton is a disgrace for that.

Sustainably raised vegetables?! Whoever heard of such a thing. It's sad that Moulton went with the crazy Left. I used to respect her.

Take care of your land and it will take care of you….now please tell me, what’s wrong with that concept? It’s called SUSTAINABILITY!

if I take care of the planet, I am « crazy Left »? So, if you don’t care about the soil, the only conclusion is that you are « stupid Right »? Please, leave the politics out of a kitchen video. You don’t like what she says? Simply don’t watch her videos. No need to make this type of comment.
