  • In a future where time is money and the wealthy can live forever, Will Salas is a poor man who rarely has more than a day's worth of life on his time clock. When he saves Henry from time thieves, Will receives the gift of a century. However, such a large transaction attracts the attention of the authorities, and when Will is falsely accused of murder, he must go on the run, taking the daughter of an incredibly wealthy man with him.

Small business owners get bankropt. Once they establish the monopoly, they raise the prices. People protest, but there is no alternative to buy from.
      Since there are no small business owners, people become regular workers. You can't become rich by being a regular worker.
      You don't see past your nose if you think people like jeff bezos care about the poor. Every desicion they make is guaranteed to get them money. Sometimes it helps the poor, most of the time it doesn't.

    I always thought this movie was so interesting. it perfectly showed the different world views of the rich vs the poor.
    I loved that detail that if you run/are ever in a rush you're just assumed to be poor.
    because that's just it when you're rich nothing is rushing you, you can do whatever whenever,
    while the people on the edge are always rushing to stave off some calamity.

      Most population growth is in Africa and parts of Asia, like India and China, where China tried to limit people, but it failed. The best thing we can do is educate people as educated people have less children, as can be seen in Europe and USA, where the continent's population growth is mainly through migration...
      Also, with all time in our grasp... we wont need to lose all those brilliant minds and more briliant minds will come, ultimately accelerating science growth even more, thus more planets and moons will be available to us as colony...

      You can see that when Raymond was shot they gave him some extra time so he wouldn’t die from his wound so I assume that if you get bed enough injuries like a gun shot or broken limbs your time is more impacted.
