The Mustang had a terrible launch, the 10 speed is actually faster. Unbiased as I did tons of searching to come to this conclusion. The Scat does have a bit more low end but definitely wouldn’t be that big a gap. Stock vs stock. I advise others to look around as I did.
Also the main reason why this Mustang is faster is because it’s a 10 speed, the older ones were slow (anything older than 2018). If anyone is conflicted between the two, I’d suggest a scat over the Mustang if you really need the extra space in the back (I got a freak ass Dominican girl witta fat ass that likes missionary and doggy), if you like drifting (the scat is much easier to handle when drifting) and I’d suggest the Mustang if you really wanna be one of the fastest NA V8 stock, and don’t care about the space. Drifting is still cool with mustangs but much more difficult to handle than a scat, as in you can take someone who’s never drifted before and put them in a scat and they’ll be able to handle it same day vs it takes practice with the Mustang) The Mustang is also cheaper than the Scatpack but offers the same options other than sunroof, and you can also get a digital dash for the Mustang which is honestly a must.
Also if you like cutting up in traffic extremely, you’re looking at the wrong cars, RWD can’t cut up as much as FWD and AWD due to traction, and believe it or not, in really heavy traffic, a 4 cylinder Camry can out due you cat and mouse. Anyone looking for a vehicle to REALLY cut up in should look at Mercedes BMW Audi V8 or V6 or Honda Infiniti. Hope this helps someone. RWD drives always like drifting or driving mostly straight

I can put my 2018 GT to the floor from a stop with 0 spin. It has a 0-60 of 4 seconds also. Michelin pilot super sports are the way too go.
i'ma former 392 Charger owner and a current 10 speed 5.0 Mustang owner. if a 392 hooks and books from a dig they are awfully hard to beat, overall the ten speed Mustang is the faster car but 392's are great quarter mile hot rods. you really can't go wrong with either car.

Dodge really builds their machines for straight lines but the charger keeping up is still pretty impressive. Gotta love the mustang for it's all round capabilities track red light drag and pull. It may not be the best at everything but as the saying goes A jack of all trades is a master of none but still better than a master of one

Probably won because it was from a dig, scats have more low in torque so I assume it's trickier to race them in a shorter drag race with a 10-speed mustang. Roll race is a different story because of the weight difference and the mustang having an engine made for the top end.
@@itznitefox2845 this. All of this. The mustang, stock, is a roll race car. It needs a tune, at minimum, to use it's bottom end torque which is still not touching Chevy or Mopar from a dig. The torque management system on these cars really cuts the nuts off these cars from a dig. That's why they aren't wrecking from a light like they used to. I still love my stang, but you gotta know where your car shines. A dig is not it.

5.7 is not getting close to any coyote. I got a ram RT with some bolt ons, a tune, and the 8 speed. I also have a 6 speed 2017 coyote bone stock. Its no contest.
I'm a mustang guy and I knew the scatty would win but the stang wasn't far behind. This race has pretty much helped me decide on a 10 speed over a manual. Unless I can somehow pull $60+ gs out my ass and buy a GT350 I'm most likely getting a 10 speed 😁

5.7 is not getting close to any coyote. I got a ram RT with some bolt ons, a tune, and the 8 speed. I also have a 6 speed 2017 coyote bone stock. Its no contest.

I'm a mustang guy and I knew the scatty would win but the stang wasn't far behind. This race has pretty much helped me decide on a 10 speed over a manual. Unless I can somehow pull $60+ gs out my ass and buy a GT350 I'm most likely getting a 10 speed 😁
