You bet.
You have an item you think is worth 10 and find out it is worth 30.
See ya!
Off to a collector.
$30K minus the 25% auction fee is $22,500. Paying $20K wouldn't leave Rick much room.
@@jasonmichael3676 Screw Rick, First of all no auction take 25%, thats just insane. Second of all, the guy could have sold it himself and made double what Rick paid him for it anyways. That thing could easily go to a collector for $30-50K, not some lowballing pawn shop
I like how this expert doesn’t low ball.
Because he’s a good expert unlike Craig the expert from the earlier seasons
Yeah the other dude is a little weasel
For all you know this guy knows it will sell for $250,000

This is America, nobody cares how you’re doing. “How are you” means “hi”... but seriously, this reminds me: back when I was in high school we had a convention for the sports captains and the speaker was Jud Buechler, who played for the Chicago Bulls at the time. They played us this video about a kid that transferred from Europe and when people would ask “how you doing?” he’d start to actually answer and get weird looks. The video was about leadership and taking the time to talk to people.

ocelot. Depends who you’re comparing to. Compared to Southern Europe definitely not. Compared to the UK and Northern Europe Americans are probably more outgoing. Speaking very generally, of course.

I love wellmade, beautiful manmade cratsmanship. And this one hits it. Still operates perfect after hundreds of years.
I was given a very rare and stunning engraved Holland & Holland shotgun in a case by an Arrmy General for cutting his lawns for ages when I was a kid (14) back in the 1980s... my mum made me give it back!! FFS! It was a work of art.

To be fair, a guy brought a potato in.
I would of never sold this. Amazing wall piece and it still fires. Can't put a price on this thing if you have a love for firearms like some of us.
Yes you can put a price on this thing. $16000. Because that’s what it sold for.
4:22 Look how Rick laughs with the guy who thinks he will get 30 grand...
"Sweet!"
It’s amazing that all these people come in to sell all these beautiful antique firearms. If I was lucky enough to own one, I wouldn’t sell it for ANY price! To me, an antique firearm is a work of art that is priceless.
Agreed. Although if I had one like this I would most likely trade it for a firearm from the later 1800’s.
You have an excellent attitude! 😁
I remember learning about this gunsmith back in high school. I believe he was also made swords.
Alex’s reaction are always fun to watch.....

What an absolute LIAR. He has a list of high end buyers just a phone call away looking for something like this.
I don't know about that. It's still online for sale at $25,000.
My thought exactly I have seen him knock down by thousands, saying he would have to frame something, give me a break.
LOL imagine being angry at a show that is staged.

Rick: You don't want $50 bucks for it?
Customer: Tf? $10,000 DOLLARS!
Do you see the smile on my face" his whole expression made my day
“I won’t see my money for a year or two”. Why is that the seller’s problem?
Its not the sellers problem, but its the reasoning for Ricks offer.
That's no reason at all, thes just an excuse to pay less, it won't take a year or two, he probably has contacts to whom he can sell it straight away, all lies
DeAn H pal it’s all staged stop crying
@@Brxdzz I was stating opinion, if I was crying I'd post a crying emoji, do you even know what the comments section is for?
it's meant to be a sort of "excuse" that Rick gives most of the time so he can lowball a decent seller like the scoundrel he is. It's really pathetic if you ask me because with all of the traction and publicity Pawn Stars gets worldwide we all know he has the capacity to sell most of his stuff within easily a few days at most, this is by the way on top of the millions he rakes in from producing the TV Show, which always seems to be overlooked.
Customer: "ok, I've got the first one dollar bill"
Rick: "alright, I'mma call up George and we'll get this checked out"
The first one Dollar bill didn't have George Washington on it and if you are talking about the Federal Reserve note, that was created by the Federal Reserve moron.

The seller has like a permanent “deal with it” face haha
I like how the seller understood how it works and started at $20k after Alex said it could sell at auction for $30k
I can’t stand it when the expert says something like “it’s worth $30k” and then the seller asks for $29k or $30k to start with
Yeah you could tell this seller had a good business sense and etiquette. It's rare on this show and even in these CZcams comments where everyone calls the offers "low balling"
Guy brings Painting, wants 100$
Turns out to be a lost Davinci painting worth like 500 Million,
"Ok I'm fine with 10k, its a lot more than I thought I will get"
The moment the expert says holy moly rick knew its not in his favor
"Let me grab my dad real quick" sounds like he's about to sell Rick.
Just looked this rifle up, it's now actually for sale at Alex (the expert) his firm for just under 25000usd.
Already sold ...
When the expert ask, "can I pick it up?" you're going to have a good day.
Not if Rick is around lmao
I like it when the experts are just blown away by something they really like
Lol the Boutet joke had me laugh. Good one, sir.
Rick has the best laugh. Should make it a ring app hahaha
I love how Rick is a legitimate nerd when it comes to historical stuff
If your bring in revolutionary stuff in sometimes he starts to drool will pay above retail for it
Years later when his wife sees this youtube clip shes gonna be like I thought you only got 10,000 for it.
Rj Calahasen Good one
Sernior partner.. im pretty sure you do have a mother too.
He also did took the risk though 😁
Wouldn’t have took less than $20,000. Rick wouldn’t have let it go knowing he might get $30,000 or even more. I reckon it was worth more myself to a collector. It was numbered too.
Love how he called for his dad lol. Knowing it was worth something
"Well, since we shot it, unfortunately that scuffed the inside of the barrel up, and so now it's worth less. All I can give you is $5 and this napkin in my pocket. I won't see my money for years on this now, and I'm taking a huge risk."
Fact: Most antique firearms at prestigious auction houses are not taken out and fired before the auction.
this is a pawnshop
Fact: most of them come certified to fire or sold as unfired and this effects value.
Also fact: This is a TV show and people like seeing things go BOOM.
Fact: I go pee-pee from my wee-wee
@@drabhand It doesn't effect the value at all, it AFFECTS it.

"let me just go grab my pops real quick" *yells pops as he's right next him*
"John Big Bootie!"
"That's Bootaay!"
Alex is one of the experts who doesn't take sides with the pawn stars when it comes to value. I think he's one of the more honest and real experts on this show.
Well, he is the CEO of IMA which Ungodly overprices garbage but when they do have good stuff (not repro's) it is indeed quality and researched properly so I would have no doubt as to him being a good expert.
Rick's Boutet joke is so funny to me. I doesnt get tired at his joke

'I'll give you $10'

The guy selling has an awesome sense of humor and overall personality. I'll bet his wife and kids are truly happy.
I've watched 50 old episodes of Pawn stars in the last two days and now I'm early but I don't know what to say xD
I would have asked 27 and ended up getting 20 grand.
Yup..
You dah man.
When he says it's worth 'X' amount he will offer half or less. This show in a nutshell. And I didn't even have to look at neck beards for half an hour.
I just love guessing how much the guys are going to offer the seller lol knowing their going to low ball them
The fact that Rick smokes really makes his laugh hilarious
So when they called Alex, it was a “Boutet” call. 🤣😂😂🤣😂😂
I bet Rick already had 5 buyers lined up. Held it for the 30 days he legally had to, then sold it the day after that.
it las vega....
Does he need to hold those for 30 days after buying?
@@jaahasjaahas8729 pawn shops in the States have to hold all items for a month in case the stuff is stolen. Police have 30 days to locate them

Yeah it’s definitely added sound.
But why? 😂
Rick ALWAYS says he's not gonna see his money in a year or two. That's his go to line when negotiating!
This is the first time I’ve heard him say that. But it’s a pretty good line, very tough to counter, especially when you have to justify $20k when you were originally asking 10
You know you have something expensive when they ask to permission to touch it
Actually a nice trade for a change. He admitted he wanted 10, and was happy with 16.
