Dude this is seriously so useful. I've been playing the old puyo on the switch for like, at least a year, and I just got this game after so long of wanting it. Needless to say I've gotten pretty damn good at puyo. But tetris? I am HORRIBLE at tetris. Its impossible. All my friends have this but they're all tetris players, none of them understand puyo, but whenever yhey try to teach me tetris its either to complicated or they just belittle me for not getting it. So this is great!
I’m the opposite. I don’t understand how anyone can’t understand Tetris but I have no clue how to play Puyo. Like I get it but I can’t pull off any combos
Even as someone who is decent at Tetris I still found this really helpful. Plus it’s interesting how Puyo Puyo players find Tetris difficult but Tetris players find Puyo Puyo difficult.
After watching a couple of videos, this one DID help. Thank you. I started playing with Tetris 99 and it was too fast to undestand anything. I'll practice with Puyo Puyo Tetris intead.

The worst part of wanting to get better is how strangely unforgiving the difficulty curve is
I simplify Tetris in my head like this: you make lines, and if you can make four or more lines at once you get a Tetris.

At tetris when a combo is done and garbage has been there the opponent can just clear the garbage and send back a counter attack not the same with puyo where you can decrese the garbage on your side and send more to the opponents side
