    That andante is hard to even believe. I wonder what thoughts and emotions were in Bach's soul when he wrote that sublime peace. Extraordinarily well played, Meister Lohmann.

    My new favorite 528! Beautiful performance on a beautiful instrument. This performance is an excellent example of "effortless" performance of an extraordinarily difficult piece ... on a nothing-is-easy authentic mechanical instrument.

    That was a virtuosic performance of one the finest trio sonatas of Bach by a Master organist

    Thank you, sir, for bringing back to life one of the most precious piece of work of the greatest Componist ever, J. S. Bach !!!

    Very beautiful. I discovered this sonata by watching Swiss crime series Wilder. Otherwise I would probably have missed this astonishing work of Bach. Especially the second movement of this sonata blows me away. Out of this world.

    Ludger Lohmann is a master of how to play Bach. This was a neat performance totally controlled yet injecting passion into the music.

    What really amazes me is the way he can play with his feet accurately without seeing it.

      There's a lot of spatial awarenes that organists first develop by playing while keeping their ankles together. We feel the intervals in our feet, knees and legs and thus when we play, we can feel where the next note will be. Similar to how violinists play.

    • @viophile
      @viophile Před 8 měsíci +2

      @@Organic_Organist It is difficult to the next level, because pianists mostly operate with their hands whereas organist has to operate with hands and feet simultaneously.

    Thank you for playing my favorite trio sonata. BWV528 is one of my second favorite songs and I listen to it from time to time. Listening to the wonderful performance, I was deeply impressed. It was a short time, but I enjoyed listening to it very much. I hope you will continue to play an active role in the future.
