  • Johann Sebastian Bach's six trio sonatas for organ are the high school of organ playing: three independent voices must be individually shaped and combined by one player.
Jan Liebermann, eighteen years old, will perform these six musical treasures in one evening - from memory!
This concert will be streamed live from the organ hall of the Hochschule für Musik in Mainz, Germany.

18 years old. All 6 triosonatas. All 6 live in one concert. All 6 by heart. You are a genius!

  • @grunercharon5882

  • @jaimecamps2017

Dr. Albert Schweitzer used to say that the organist that master this six triosonatas has little more to learn about organ playing. And you can play them by heart!! Your talent has no limits!

  • @EnricoLanger

This is tour-de-force. Congratulations. And yes, this is chamber music played by one person. And in a perfect setting - acoustically dry environment that lets each of the three voices (instruments, we can say) speak easy and with a crystal clear voice. And perfect and wise registrations. I could always imagine individual instruments, not the organ, and that is how trio sonatas should be. Great, great, great!!!

This is truly astounding playing and musicianship. Bravo. If only non organists could grasp the depth of difficulty, memory and musicianship required.

I think you're phenomenal. Performing all 6 trio sonatas so beautifully, and from memory, at such a young age, seems like an impossible feat to me, but you've proven that it's not impossible. You make what is extraordinarily difficult seem easy, which is a sign of true mastery. And the whole way you carry yourself makes it obvious that you don't think of yourself as being extraordinary, which might be the best part.

A 18 anni, poi.. Davvero bravissimo, una luminosa carriera ti aspetta

Jan. Well done. Excellent. Pedalling first class. Your vivace's and allegros show you reaching into these masterpieces and having the innate fun. Now. Where do you go from here? Who and where? Ambitions and hopes. Should be v high.
