Welcome to the club Jimmy Thelin 🔴⚪️
Aberdeen have secured one of the top managers in Scandinavian football given the success Jimmy Thelin has had at Elfsborg 🇸🇪
Now they need to take inspiration from Scandinavia again at look at both the MCH Arena (FC Midtjylland 🇩🇰) and Brøndby Stadion (Brøndby IF 🇩🇰) and use their stadiums as blueprints for Aberdeens new stadium!
One complete arena (stands not separated miles apart), stands right on the pitch, full standing sections behind the goals, modern and classy! The outside of the Brøndby Stadion with the big concrete pillars combined with the tightness and passion of the MCH Arena.
Between a new manager, new top-class modern stadium and investing in young, foreign talents, Aberdeen could be onto something special! 🏴🌟
100% 👍
Nice to hear that from a Celtic fan 👍
TalorcMacAllan I mean everybody is entitled tae their option …….maybe this fan is fearing that old Rodgers will bolt after this season!
TalorcMacAllan passionate about football and want the Scottish game to improve. Would you rather I took no interest and went and followed English football instead like so many others in Scotland?
Main thing ge needs is time. It's going to take a few transfer window's to build the squad he wants. Doesn't matter how things go next year he needs at least 2 summers
Of course, it matters what happens next year, would you accept relegation? For a re-build that may or my not come to fruition?
@@GusMac6129 we changed manager twice now this season it hasnt exactly prevented what youre winging about
@@mdotizzy
You are the one "winging"
One of those managers never got any time, the 2 before him never got any time. What is so different this time & what exactly is the vision? We have been sold down the river for years now, new stadium, top 100 club etc etc etc
I understand some are on a bit of a high, we have finally got a manager & reinvigorated confidence. Iv'e seen & heard it all before.
But that was not my point. Are Don's fans willing, like what the original commenter suggested, to write off next season, with possible relegation for some greater good.
As far as i'm concerned, the jury is out on Thelin & the current owners of the club, that have already made multiple fk up's & false promises.
100% agree
Welcome to our great club Jimmy .
Fantastic look forward to next season with the new management in place.and great to see Peter has a part to play in the coaching staff as well. COYR
All the very best in the new job.
I like him already, has an aura about him. Let’s go Jimmy!! Stand Free
Delighted Jimmy is our manager and well done to the board. I hope he is given the tools to succeed and is left to manage without interference. He has a track record of competence, so he should be trusted to do his job.
I appreciate he needs time and I'm sure he'll get it as we're all aware, it's a massive job to overhaul the paper thin squad and turn us around.
Anyway, welcome Jimmy!
Good interview with good questions asked too.
good luck lets all hope it was worth the wait peeps
Refreshing interview. Looking forward to see what he can do with our squad (plus any additions). Good luck Jimmy. COYR.
Best of Luck Jimmy. Welcome to the Club
Welcome to Aberdeen jimmy, good appointment and I think he's got balls like Robson didnt have also if cormack sticks to running the club and let jimmy run the team affairs iv got a good feeling about jimmy.stand free.COYR,wee fifer rory
hooked on a thelin
Delighted to get someone of his level in. Looking forward to see what he can do. SF
Great choice a winner
He will certainly get some off these players already at club out the door because some are not good enough for the badge and lack lustered effort
I’m sure this new manager will have a vision along with his back room staff
Most importantly changing our football style and more entertainment for the fans and much better performance and results
Great appointment by the club! COYR MIN! 🟥⬜️🟥 🏴 🤝 🇸🇪
Oh yes he took Elfsborg to 10th in the Swedish league. We should of given warnock a whopping £4 and he would of stayed and took us to 8th😆
@Cajkelfa WTF are you speaking aboot? Elfsborg just missed oot on the Swedish league title last season on goal difference. In his 1st managerial Job he got Jonkopings promoted to the Swedish top flight for the 1st time in 46 year. Dee a bit of research min.
Is sevco still losing £1m a month? 😂
@@kaizer1903 im kidding ye oan pal 🎣
Hopefully he does good
Thats great you picked agood manager AFC
All the best Jimmy 🇸🇪
I just hope he brings a more positive style of play to the club. Its been pretty dire of late. Welcome and best of luck Jimmy.
In Sweden he played good attacking football he would’ve won elfsborg the Swedish league but goal difference ruined it, was drawn on pts with Malmo
Ferguson and miller the famous afc
Welcome JIMMY

Now is the time, we need this new visionary. I am enthusiast by this manager selection, this guy has a proven record. Let’s give Jimmy time while he goes through his natural progression of selecting the team, when that time comes. 🏴🇵🇪
I just hope he gives every player in the squad a clean slate as i feel other managers this season have been so one dimentonal and not given every player a fair go as shown in the last 2 goaless games
Not dons fan but welcome to scotland all best fr new season
FTH
I 2nd that! 👍
Remember give him time get players in and see how’s he does
Keep away from the sheep or the fans will get jealous ...
Christ hes aged since his playing days, i think i remember him at bordaeux... thought he was black aswell
He’ll be here 24 months maximum, hopefully because he’s been so successful he’s off to England, or alternatively binned back to Sweden with a big payoff
😂
Give him some decent money to spend then if we want to have half a chance of competing again.. It's getting soooooo fcuking boring watching either the huns or the fenians win the league and cups year in year out..Spend,spend,spend,SPEND...
How much do you expect a club with the resources like Aberdeen to spend?
How much do you think it would take to challenge the Glasgow 2?
Has Aberdeen not previously put themselves in a dire financial situation, racking up debts of 15 million to try challenge, only to fail?
@@GusMac6129But what's the point if you don't try and genuinely challenge? Saying this as a Rangers fan but for me what is quite damning of the league is that last season Rangers had a poor season and sacked their manager a few months in and brought in a glorified youth coach in Beale and still finished 35 points ahead of Aberdeen in 3rd. This season again Rangers have sacked their manager and both the old firm have had a poorer than average season so far and still Rangers are 12 points ahead of Hearts in 3rd.
It's not even the fact that the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs aren't challenging for league titles, it's the fact that no one else is remotely prepared to challenge even if one of the old firm is having an off season...at which stage the question is, what's the point?

Unlike your own 12 year old club, i'd much prefer my club live within their means, and to pay everybody from the tax man to the face painters.
spend spend . . . . . . did a certain David Murray not tell Scottish football to do that a few years back , wonder what happened to him and his club 🤔
It's going to take 2 or 3 transfer windows to sort out the team. Lets hope he hits the ground running so he actually gets time to put his plan into place as unlike our 3 previous appointments he actually has a track record of building teams and growing a club. The job he has done at Elfsborg is clearly impressive and Jimmy is well respected.
The fans this season have done their part and whilst there will always be a group of disgruntled fans, IF they can see a clear plan, a clear style of play, an ability to be tactically adaptive in matches etc they will stay behind the team.
My small worry is that a lot of Jimmy's success will be due to fact Elfsborg had a good setup with football people in charge. I still do not feel those who are going to be "above" Jimmy in the heirarchy have the ability for the positions they are occupying.
