- The most spectacular show nature has to offer! Over 2 million wildebeests crossing the Mara River from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, Africa.
Seeing this in real life was a true privilege. We also noticed a few zebras tagging along.
For this safari trip we stayed in a beautiful camp located inside the Maasai Mara region called Kichwa Tempo Tented Camp by andBeyond. We had an amazing time time there. The food was delicious with a lot of traditional Kenyan food and a beautiful dance from the Maasai Warriors to fully immerse you into the local culture. The accommodation were also very nice and as luxurious as it gets in the glamping world.
Tentes are starting as low as $180USD per person per night for residents. ($160 if you book within 7 days of your trip)
In terms of game drives we had an amazing safari guide named Annie who was very knowledgeable and funny! We highly recommend that you ask for her when you book. During our drives we saw a large number of elephants, lions, impalas, buffalos and even a few rhinos, crocodiles and hippos which are always a great find.
But the highlight of this trip was the wildebeest migration. We had the chance to see thousands of them walking around the Tanzanian Serengeti and a large number of them running down to the Mara River which was a beautiful spectacle.
If you are to only do one safari in your life, we suggest the migration period of the year as there is simply nothing like it anywhere else around the world.

Most safari camps in the Mara, and elsewhere, offer Sundowners the last night of your stay. The other nights are usually drinks around the campfire with the other guests. Especially in the Mara because the vehicles must be out of the park before dark. This is common practice. Also, the lion that climbed the tree (with a full belly) is not something you normally see. Leopards - yes. Lions - no. So what a treat for you guys!!! I have stayed at Kichwa as well as Bateleur Camp. Both are beautiful camps!!! Great video!!! Loved it!!! As always!!!
The Irio tastes great when mixed with butter, then eat with kachumbari and beef stew.
Hope you guys are still in Kenya in 2022 when I get home! Would be awesome hanging out with you guys for a moment!

Excellent work on this one capturing the incredible migration that can be seen from space and for your honest opinions as usual. The traveling in groups of people esp of varying ages almost rained on your parade. Tracy's favorite food is called Mokimo or Irio i.e. "eeeerrrriiiiioooh". Seeing lions on your game drive vlogs is usually the icing for me.
Hey you guys What An Adventure !!! Especially now when most are cooped up somewhere trying to meet some Covid related safety measure . Id pay triple for that experience right now and you seem to do it regularly . Food looks great , price very fair but didnt see 2 million migrating Wildebeests which is what drew us to the video . Misleading headline?? great adventure .!!

BTW, How secure are the camps? like you said there were hyenas 😱 near by. Did you get any sleep. I just can't even look at hyenas, they are such scavengers and horrible animals, their behaviour is unimaginable.
