- Here’s what I’m using and loving for my MTB air supply system. It took me a few tries to get this right so I’m sharing what’s working for me to save you the trial and error. Working on bikes can take up a lot of time so why not dial in your setup to make the most of your time?

Many thanks for this extremely informative and well made video. So many reviews don't go into the details of what you need to get everything working. I too was looking at the Park Tool but this convinced me I don't need that. I do worry about the portability of the compressor for race events but I can always get a smaller one later for that and just take the attachments. Thanks so much! Definitely liked and subsribed!

Happy New Year! Greatly appreciate the feedback. To be honest I haven't needed to use a second tool. The capacity and 170 PSI is really where I am grateful I got the "two hot dogs!" On seating tires, the 4.5 gal has the perfect amount of strong initial pressure and will last until you get that 3 pop seat sound. I couldn't get this with a one gal. The 4.5 is remarkably storeable and by being stacked probably takes up the same floor space. Right now Home Depot has the 4.5 gallon on sale for $199 from 249. The 1 gallon is $129 from $169. I attached the link from HD below. The 4.5 is definitely worth it!

Can you tell us more about this wheel mount to work stand?
Most definitely, thank you for the great question! I have a Park Tools PRS-5 stand but I think this set up will work for most stands. Adding a wheel adapter to a portable stand for a mobile application or just for home use is Rad! First I have mounted the truing stand adapter for lighter wheels and it is also the base for the thru-axle adapter for my mountain bikes. I am interested in trying these and I have seen people using a regular Schrader type fitting like you use for a car. If you remove the core of the valve, people are claiming success with those! Good luck and Ride The Chaos,

Do you think the smaller 2 gallon compressor could seat tubeless tires? I don’t have a ton of room and I’m looking to get the smallest one possible. I’d just be using it for cycling and my car tires.
Honestly I ran a 2 gallon for a long time and yes it works. Combined with solid techniques you can even seat tires with a large volume hand pump. Although I found sometimes I was almost there and didn't have enough air supply to finish seating with a 2 gallon. This model is amazingly compact, the handle retracts and for just a little more room you get a much better, capable piece of equipment. If you need to save the space and go with a 2 gallon just dial in your technique. I have a video on trouble shooting seating tubeless tires.

is this capable of seating the bead after adding new tires and sealant on tubeless
Hello Yennifer, Yes It does! If you have the tires on with sealant and the bead will not seat, probably leaking air even sealant? A compressor and solid "air supply" system does help with the the consistent large volume of air being delivered. Some large volume pumps are good too.
Although, there might also be other issues that can be resolved without having to invest in a set up like this, but it does make things easier. I recommend checking out my other video "Tips for Seating a Stubborn Tubeless Tire"
