I wonder if HONDA CANADA will send me a free touch up paint as this new feature starting in 2022 model nobody knows had caused 2 scratches on my hood when I lifted up during the freezings rain day .
Absolutely idiotic design. They don't tell you this when you buy the car and only figure it out after damaging the hood brim. Also, this car was NOT designed for Canadian winters. Hate this model Civic.
I can't find a video how to do this on my chevy trax.. Very frustrating
only for 11gen civic?
I saw a video where some guy bought Rain-X blades and was able to snip off a portion of the adapter to make it fit. ALSO, you better be careful that you don't absent-mindedly start your car while the blades are off the windshield....CRUNCH.
My wipers don’t back into the resting position they stay in the standard position , I can’t get them to go back I to the testing position …. Any help here ?
Hi there, we recommend you speak with your local Honda dealer about this. Furthermore, you can reach out to our Customer Relations Team at 1-888-946-6329 (Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm EST) if you'd like to discuss further. Thank you.
It’s not working for my Honda Fit 07 when I tried to use wipers it goes back down it doesn’t stop on vertical position
Have you tried turning the car off from accessory mode....and then holding the stock up? Or have you tried holding the stock up when in accessory mode (the wipers may start wiping up and down), and then turning off the car?
Has any one successfully found 3rd party wiper blades that work with this clip design? The adaptor clips don’t fit because of where they placed the wiper fluid sprayers.
Nope. Almost seems like they did this on purpose to cash in on wiper insert replacements. I'm sure eventually someone will come up with an adapter, because the civic is an insanely popular car, and a simple adapter will be insanely cheap to chuck in, but still annoying
Can you believe a factory makes things that are not functional these day? The screen is in my face in 2024 CRV Sport.
Got it, but how can I lift the rear wipers? 🤔 (Honda Civic Hatchback Sport 2022)
Same...I can't get the back wiper up
@@yogranny86 Just push the start button without turning the engine on... Then push the start button again and pull up the wiper thing and hold it until the wipers moves and stay in the middle.
Then the same thing to put it back...
@@robnell that's for the front. The back wiper isn't moving
Anyone figure this out
I'm assuming you just lift it like normal......there isn't an "aerodynamic" reason like it is for the front wipers.
Check the video
This is soooo confusing
I thought I was just high 🤣
I did it according to what they directed and it's really not that complicated
Better put a towel on widshield in case wiper arm without wiper on, falls. Cost me a windshield!!
What do you mean put a towel on the windshield? You mean literally put a towel on the windshield (outside)? What is the function of the towel? Will it help reduce the impact?
@@aliadean8926 Because while changing the blades it slipped and hit the windshield cracking it!!!
Ha. Just did this today. Had my wipers up for cleaning. Turned the car on. Wipers then decided to park in their naturally position, cracking my windshield.
Horrible design. Pocket filled with ice and can't fold the wipers back to clean it.
Hate my civic. The wipers won’t even defrost because they are hidden for better aero. Bs
This is absolutely ignorant way to go honda!
Honda is weired
