I wonder if HONDA CANADA will send me a free touch up paint as this new feature starting in 2022 model nobody knows had caused 2 scratches on my hood when I lifted up during the freezings rain day .

Absolutely idiotic design. They don't tell you this when you buy the car and only figure it out after damaging the hood brim. Also, this car was NOT designed for Canadian winters. Hate this model Civic.

I saw a video where some guy bought Rain-X blades and was able to snip off a portion of the adapter to make it fit. ALSO, you better be careful that you don't absent-mindedly start your car while the blades are off the windshield....CRUNCH.

Have you tried turning the car off from accessory mode....and then holding the stock up? Or have you tried holding the stock up when in accessory mode (the wipers may start wiping up and down), and then turning off the car?

Has any one successfully found 3rd party wiper blades that work with this clip design? The adaptor clips don’t fit because of where they placed the wiper fluid sprayers.

Nope. Almost seems like they did this on purpose to cash in on wiper insert replacements. I'm sure eventually someone will come up with an adapter, because the civic is an insanely popular car, and a simple adapter will be insanely cheap to chuck in, but still annoying

Can you believe a factory makes things that are not functional these day? The screen is in my face in 2024 CRV Sport.

@@yogranny86 Just push the start button without turning the engine on... Then push the start button again and pull up the wiper thing and hold it until the wipers moves and stay in the middle.
Then the same thing to put it back...

I'm assuming you just lift it like normal......there isn't an "aerodynamic" reason like it is for the front wipers.
