I’ve learned from being a goalie for about 4 years now is that when you are doing low and hip shot warm ups you wanna keep your chest down but not all the way and you want to keep your head up but not all the way so you can see the rebound if the ball pops out of your stick.

This is great. After watching my son's new team not warm him up and then take rip shots on him for a full hour, we will start incorporating our own warm up for him. Respect your goalie and he'll put his whole heart into winning games for you.

Tell your son’s coach to warm him up right. They are doing him a disservice both to him for the season and long term. I’ve been a goalie for 10 years, and there is nothing more frustrating than a coach or teammate not warming you up right.
