Note for modders: you can safely remove the the priming lock and release (same piece of plastic) and maintain the priming indicator. I did to my deadpool one.
Also, you can squish in a 6th round with a slight amount of effort; or put another one in after the innitial prime to shotgun the first shot and still have 4 rounds left instead of 3.

These reviews are excellent! I have a son entering the Nerf world and I know nothing about these guns. These reviews are invaluable to educate me as to how they work,, if they require batteries, if they’re pump, pull or motor driven, etc. I really appreciate these. Keep up the excellent work.
I would like to see a Nerf Rival load out video, particularly how you carry and manage Rival mags. I would also like to see a ammo comparison of the Rival/Headshot vs. the Adventure Force ammo.
This blaster looks really cool to me (prefer the red). It has a Robocop gun look to it. It compares mostly (in dart counterpart) to the Strongarm. A major benefit to it being Rival is that you can stuff the ammo in your pockets and wont get damaged and you do not have to be gentle loading the ammo so you load much faster over a Strongarm. Those 2 factors make this blaster able to be a semi primary because you can top off in 3 seconds or less. But the question would be is it worth switching from Rival ammo to dart ammo if you already have many dart ammo blasters. Hmmm. Do a vs of this and the Strongarm.
First I had Artemis, then Hera, and today I got the Kronos and once it got broken in it is very pleasant to use and surprisingly accurate for a foam ball pistol!

My first rival gun. I have a tier 1 rapid strike, so I'll never need another primary. But I did need a really good secondary, accurate and as high powered as the rapidstrike. This compact, easy to top off, accurate (due to the rival rounds) pistol fits that role perfectly
Try a nerf stryfe as a secondary
SuperNova. My first rival gun was the helios. And it's great. And its my new primary. My previous primary was the roughcut 2x4. And I would still use it.

Hey, is the rival Kronos worth to buy? I want To start my nerfer career with 3 good guns and I have 1 and its the Modulus Regulator. Now im looking for a pistol/Sidearm.
Mr. Lazy maybe the Nerf Fortnite SP L. I know its Fortnite but it’s actually really good for a sidearm. Or the Nerf Rival Kronos. Hope this helps and they are both $20

The kronos isn't half bad when you get stronger
I personally like the internal magazine. It might take longer to load but a 5 round pistol loaded with rival accuracy is good.
Holy crap I just got the Kronos and totally dominated at my family’s last nerf war. I thought it was really fast to reload! Very accurate. Love it!

Thanks for the review Coop, I’ve been looking for a higher performance sidearm to replace my strong arm after trying all types of darts it didn’t feel right for me, so I am going to switch to Rival because I think the higher velocity and more reliable ammo will be great for me!

Last time I was this early, Coop used Cornucopia rounds.
The only 2 rival blasters we need know is a sniper (doesn’t even need to shoot harder, just something that looks like a sniper) and a stryfe like rival blaster, the Zeus didn’t really hit the bar, everyone immediately made it hopper fed and the reloading on the stock version was difficult
what about the Rival Hera? Its a flywheel 6 c battery powered Zeus replacement.

I went with the Deadpool package (obviously) but for practical purposes you only need one Kronos so the Phantom Corp at a lower price point is nice.
The Kronos was the first Nerf gun I've had since I was a child. I was so impressed with the performance of it that it started an avalanche of Rival purchases.. gotta say nerf has really stepped it up these past few years. Wish I knew about these rivals when they came out lol

i've recently bought a kronos (arrived today for a matter of fact) and i was really happy when i opened the box as i was getting out of my school uniform. it was bigger than exspected, but still really comfortable. also, you know something is good when my dad likes it. ( he's knida hard to please). and the colour if you asked is blue because team blue for life breh. it's wos really worth the money. also, really love the videos your videos, keep up the good work.

This was my first nerf got I ever got, good to know its good!
I primarily got it as kind of a pistol for my halo ODST cosplay, as it can look a lot like a halo CE pistol if you give it a metallic coat.

Modern Flight yes mate rival needs to do this it'll be an awesome addition to the rival line. They should make a 50cal or 308 sized rifle and they should do a semi auto blowback system to introduce recoil.

I just bought mine today, so now I have two high-powered hand cannons, next to my Mega Magnus. My only nitpick about the Kronos is the plastic that makes up the body feels flimsy, as if dropping it would break the housing. Maybe not, but it feels cheap. Otherwise, I love it; it's my first foray into the Rival series and it doesn't disappoint.

I love the Kronos. While I could wish for a six ball capacity, even at five it's a worthy sidearm.
You can actually modify it pretty easily to take 6.

coop look at the kronos and if you have one look also at the vigilon. i feel like they made the kronos close to the vigilon because they both hold 5 round built in magazines, both have the same looking lock and magazine opener and both have tactical rails on the front.

I got my kronos to shoot elite darts by loading the rival rounds and loading the elite darts from the barrel. It works kinda well

Can you do a comparison in performance between precompressed springs compared to non-precompressed ?
I've never been very convinced that precompressing does anything, but I've never really tested it either because I don't have a chronograph or large indoor spaces to test ranges reliably. My logic behind why I am doubtful about whether or not precompressing does anything, is the fact that the formula for potential energy stored in a spring is PE = 0.5 * K * X^2.
Which is easy to derive from the formula for force applied by a spring : F = K * X and then integrating that force with respect to distance, X, which results in X "becoming" 0.5 * X^2 by use of the integration power rule.
One reason why pre compressing could maybe do something would be if the initial higher force is more beneficial, if the dart were to lose "air seal" as it leaves the breach.
So long story short, can you test this? Lel thanks.
