Hasbro should make a speed loader for both rival and darts.
Sniper N64 boomco made one but thats for a clip system, it would be difficult to do with mags without damaging the darts and rival rounds are so simple to load its not really worth the investment.

Thanks for the timely review, I didn't think these were out yet. Reserved a set today and zipped over to Gamestop to pick them up. It was the first set they had sold.
It has a lighter draw then the Apollo, but the fact remains: the Apollo still has the highest FPS than any other blaster Nerf has ever put out with 97 FPS.

Would’ve been nice if there was 6 shots in there. So it could hold as much as a strong arm, but fire better so it could be a suitable replacement. Also since it’s based off of wades dessert eagles, desert eagles have 12 rounds. And if you remember that one scene in Deadpool, where he was counting his shots, he only had six in each, so we all could’ve been Deadpool if HASBRO decided to put one extra round in there.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say since the blaster is already slim AF, that they didn’t have any room to out an extra ball.
My dude, desert eagles hold 7 rounds for the 50, 8 for the 44, and 9 for the 357, so nowhere near 12

My favorite part is the realistic trigger lock. Possibly the best designed Nerf pistol ever...even though it is crazy huge.

I think if you press the tops together in opposite directions, you can prime both pistols at once, so you can dual wield.
And fun fact the rival Kronos was meant to be the rival version of the magnus

5 shooter pistol like the Hammershot, internal mag like the Magnus or even the Artemis since its Rival, top prime like Strongarm/ Disruptor/ Cycloneshock. cool! nice to have a small, holster-able pistol for Rival, even if they lack the capacity of the Apollo individually. I didnt know this was due to come out. i had only heard some early buzz about it.
as for where the Rival line is going to go in the future? there are some gimmicks we might get, like a break action or something, or (god forbid) a bow. beyond that, id kind of like see "Rival Mega" happen that fires larger red Rival balls. they did it with darts, why not the ball blasters for the higher age group?
if these come out as Phantom Corps, i suspect they probably wont be too much less expensive because they will probably come with the team ribbons like the Hera. so that will up the price a little.
I love the concept and presentation, but i don't know how you're supposed to use both at the same time.
Only way i can see it veing practical is to keep one primed in a holster and use one till ur out of BALLS and switch

1) deadpool dual wields pistols
2) It looks so much cooler
3) Hasbro makes more money that way
4) One extra chance if you screw up a mod lol
5) More Balls per second!!!!!

7) To experience more of deadpool’s ..INTENSITY
8) Sudden death with a buddy. :)
9) Always have one at the ready in a holster if you run out of ammo or dont have time to prime.

Lmao also in all seriousness you can watch many many MANY videos of how nerfers get around that dilemma. Some ideas if seen...
1) use one gun to prime the other (not recommended, scratches the paint)
2) use your belt to prime both at the same time (my preferred method)
3) Attach a simple “holster hook” that you can quickly holster and unholster the blasters with a mod that hooks the priming handle and primes it as you dip into the holster tactically!
4) (Not possible on the blasters as coop pointed out) but many nerf guns that prime in this fashion have a sling point that you can attach a lanyard around your neck, chest, or arms/shoulders which you pull the blaster away from your body which then primes the handle. (Fastest and most used method I have seen)
5) Experiment with your own methods!!!
Experimentation and modding is part of what makes nerfing so much fun!!

If i had money, I would get the Deadpool ones and just keep them in the box collector style , then get the phantom corps line one and use that at wars as a secondary to my artemis.
There is still one role unfulfilled by Rival: super-special-awesome multi shot mortar, for those times you just want to blanket an area with soft yellow foam balls.

Further note: becareful opening this up; surprisingly, the internals are under a decent amount of pressure from the spring and can/will "explode" on you in a shower of parts. Nothing breaks, but you could lose something.

I found an easier way to get two in the chamber.
1) Load 5 “balls” and shoot the first off.
2) Hold trigger while priming brings one in the chamber without locking.
3) Prime it with finger off trigger brings a second ball in and locks it.
4) Fire two balls!
