HOW TO FIND YOUR STYLE & START YOUR WARDROBE. Yo, whats good Grundy Gang! In todays video I am going to break down 4 easy steps on how to find your personal style and build your wardrobe. There are a huge range and variety of different styles, but I wanted to layout a blueprint on finding any type of style you like. On top of how to dress well, I wanted to give some tips on how to wear whatever you want with confidence. This is a huge factor when it comes to dressing. I hear people say all the time “I wish I could wear that”. This is all about confidence. Wearing an outfit with confidence has a big difference on how the outfit will look on you. If you feel good about the outfit, it will be easier to wear it out in public. I’m lastly going to tell you some tips on purchasing clothes and building your wardrobe.

This is probably the hardest thing to do as a teenager. 98% of my closet is cartoon or tacky graphic tees from the mall and clothes I’ve outgrown🤦🏾♂️ then I find pieces that grab my eye, but wouldnt look right with my body type

Since I been in high school I've found myself gravitating towards the baggy/ loose-fitted look more than the skinny & tapered look but I'm very comfortable with both. Recently I've found myself really getting into "dad shoes", like just the bulkier style shoes.
I feel like your style should not only be comfortable, but it should be a visual representation of how you define yourself. Like it shouldn't completely define you, but it should be another way to express the type of person you are and it should reflect your mind, if that makes any sense.

I feel the biggest issue for me was shopping online and figuring out what size I am and basically seeing myself in the product. Especially when a product can be a Large but its a bit oversized for me. Which sometimes it depends on the brand or the measurements companies use. It is weird to see that not many people shop in person for clothes cause its true, you might find something best suited for you during the process. If it didn't fit you then you at least can put it away without waiting the 2 weeks for your money back. As for the video thank you! will be using this as reference next time I go shopping.

Yeah, trends are lame to try and keep up with. Trends can be fun to experiment with from time to time, but I hate when something becomes a trend and then "goes out of style" when it's something that actually works for me. I'm super scrawny (5'7" and 100 lbs), so I typically wear skinnier pants and a loose-fitting shirt. It's just my style, it's the silhouette that looks best on me, it's what I feel most comfortable in the majority of the time. But now everybody's saying skinny pants are "going out of style" and I'm still rocking them. Do I care what people think about me as an individual? Nah, but it kinda sucks when I'm hearing stuff all the time like "skinny jeans are bad and outdated, don't wear them," etc. I do wear some slim or even baggy trousers and chinos from time to time to switch things up, but black skinny jeans are an absolute staple in my closet. And skinny trousers. They're kinda like chelsea boots in the sense that chelseas were a "trend" for a minute there and then "went out of style," but they're still a staple in my wardrobe and menswear in general. Chasing trends can get so bad, especially if you're throwing out clothes after only wearing them for a little bit. But also because you don't wanna let trends affect the way you view yourself and your image. Find your own lane and screw what anyone else thinks

In my opinion skinny jeans have became more of a staple than a trend something that can be worn very well if done correctly I would recommend if trying to stay ultra relevant which is not always a good thing try mixing in other newer trends to modernize the skinny jeans still 99% of the time skinny jeans with a good fit will always work

U so right Jadon but there is a problem Im really into the early 2000s style with the pelle jacket and Jeff Hamilton and new era and also the 80s style with the kangol bucket hat but sometimes I want to dress with archive stuff but my problem is i see too many people’s wearing rick, raf snd archive pièces on ig and sometimes I always think that I have to dress like them to be in style 🤬 like example if I want my fit posted on grailed I feel that I will have to wear archive clothes or high end clothing line and not my early 2000s style like Dipset or pharell with ice cream 😪

I went from middle school wearing basket ball shorts and a t shirt everyday to wearing Hoodies and jeans everyday in 9th through 11th grade because I was self concious af but something clicked last summer and I started working out now I can go to school wearing t shirts and shit and feeling confident at the same time I still wear my windbreaker occasionally because I spent 80 on it and its dope af

As I get older I'm dressing better rite now I have to styles. Tech style mostly nike acg and I love luxury clothing mostly ralph lauren purple label, black label and RLX. I moved to Maryland from NYC during covid. And I moved with no clothes. The first thing I focused on was Jeans I went with Nudie Jeans, than I got sneakers for the summer than it was boots, I picked up over 14 boots and got 20 sneakers. Than I got tech pants 10 Acg nike than I got Gore tex jackets picked up 5. Than got a heavy winter acg coat. Than I racked up on ralph lauren. Got a Navy pea coat polo, polo big horse down coat black, and got Black Label biker jacket, RLX parka and black label vest. Those 2 was 2 weeks ago now I got my eye on a shearling ralph lauren. All the polo stuff goes well with my boots and jeans. I don't follow trends rite now ralph lauren boots isn't so popular. I picked up 2 alpine polo boots they were expensive but look super high quality.
