Nice video John ...and a theme that really chimes with me - especially Sunday mornings when I reach for some of my most chilled records. You have reminded me that I really would like a copy of Van's 'Common One' on vinyl. Cheers - D
Nice Sunday vibe while you have the house to yourself. I agree Common One is a solid Van album. I have the 2CD version of Apollo, Atmospheres and it certainly suits early morning listening...cheers Dale
Nice selection John, love the hand percussion on the George Mukabi record. Common One is a good album, I have a copy without its sleeve. The Harold Butler record sounds amazing. I've only found one King Ade record in about 20 years. Btw I used to always read that initial interview section in Mojo. And for the record, I actually do sing in the shower.
I don't know any of those records, John. However, John Renbourn taught folk guitar at my old art college (many years ago). He was a humble fellow. 'Lord Franklin' is my personal favourite.
Some lovely records there. I've not heard Harold Butler before - on the list now. Bim Sherman is great and should be a lot better known. His records are rarely shown. I find they are quite pricey which is a shame. Great stuff. Cheers, Steve.
This may sound odd, but I used to play Dark Side of the Moon and the debut from the Velvet Underground frequently on Sunday mornings. I love Common One and Apollo! Really interesting choices.
Morning John 👋🏻.....such a great idea/thread....I tend to gravitate towards acoustic guitar instrumental or w my fav Neil hehe🤭.always enjoy the needle drops...sending much happiness and joy to you and your family✊🏻☮️🎶🙏🏻✨Lis 😎
I listen to a lot more live recordings then records but if I had one Sunday morning go to record it's the Legend of Jesse James record with levon Helm, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris and Charlie Daniels
Some great Sunday morning choices John. Renbourne is a perfect choice. I both of those 80s Sunny Ade records, picked them up cheap. Enjoy your alone time. While the cats are away the @6inchpianist will play. Cheers.
Very interested to see your Sunday Morning selections, John. The George Mukarbi was lovely. Eno, great too. I tend to listen to his super ambient albums on CD - no pops or clicks! Hope you don’t have to do a mad tidy-up of records before the family come back 😂
Loving those albums. John. A great varied selection. Cheers. 🙏
Cheers Andy 👍

Although not religious I typically think of gospel music for Sunday morning. I picked up that Mavis Staples album you showed recently.
you always have such interesting recommendations...thanks!

Out Of Bondage-absolute killer John.Introduced to that back in the day by Mr Gilles Peterson.
Cool. Never twigged you as a Renbourn fan J.
Hi Ben!
@@TheZeekgeek1Hey Z. How’s things pal. Being watching (with envy) all the great gigs you’re going to. Especially the HH50 one. 🎉
John, I've never heard of George Mukabi, The music is absolutely gorgeous. I'm on the hunt for that one.

Records everywhere, John. I’m going to have to take a day off work to sort this mess out…
I don’t think that was the Van Morrison Uma Thurman’s character in Beautiful Girls was talking about. 😄
Ha! I love that film…
Bim Sherman. Welcome to the wantlist lol
You’ll definite dig his stuff, Dave . 👌
Bonjour,
Too much audiophile records and not enough love for mississippi records in the VC.
Love your channel.
Thank you!
