That is a great upgrade! The attention to detail is outstanding. It looks like it came from the factory like that in the engine compartment. Well done!
Thanks a lot. thats much appreciated.
And thanks for watching!
@@KJOff-Road There is a saying, "effort equals reward", you certainly put a lot of effort into the project and the end result, well there is the reward, first class.
never saw such a awesome work for light installaton.
I second that comment, your attention to detail, and the explanation of what you are doing, makes your videos great. Your Jimny looks fantastic man, great job...
Thanks a lot, That is much appreciated.
And thanks for watching!
Perfect job, looks great!
I'm in awe of your work. Absolutely brilliant!
Outstanding installation and wiring!
In Australia, UHF radio has several Citizens Bands for hobbyist and Enthusiasts to legally use upto 5W. My first mod on my Jimny was a UHF radio. My second was a single roof crossbar to mount the antenna on. My third was a light bar, wired similar to your spotlights, with one auxiliary circuit for future work lights.
I have a hidden Winch mount on order and will install a winch inside the front bumper next.
Very nice setup and function. Great work!!!!
Thanks a lot!
And thanks for watching!
That's a much cleaner install than what I just saw on a recent episode of 'Just Rolled In'.
I think a winch would at least look cool.
Excellent!
good job you did!
Suski should hire you/consult with you for after market and or pre production planning..you have tranformed this vehicle into viable alternative..great stuff..
Thanks a lot for that compliment!
And thanks for watching!
Nice work mate
Nice job mate🤙
Looks great. Works great. The install looks factory under the hood.
As for mods? A winch and recovery system is a good investment.
Thanks a lot!
it would actually be really cool to have a winch on this.
Thanks for watching!
My favorite youtuber is back :'D
Lift kit for Samurai and BF goodrich💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
That would actually look really good!
Thanks for watching!
Found this video just now. Great work i dont think professionals will do such a project without charging you an arm and a leg. Will you be willing to publish the fuse box design files? wish yo u were doing more Jimny videos.
Thanks a lot!
And yeah, the files are already free for download. The link is in the video description :)
It would be super cool if you printed a new relay box lid with information on the inside about the relays and fuses, just like it would be if factory installed.
That would be cool. and i might do that at some point. :)
I actually tried doing it with just some lable-stickers. but the 3d-printed surface wasnt smooth enough for them to stick.
Thanks again!
Front and rear tow hitch, removable so you can replace with a winch front and back
That would actually be very handy! and it would be nice to have some kind of winch set-up on this.
Thanks for watching!
Great work, what colour is the full beam trigger wire from factory loom as looking to wire spot lights to my vehicle and what colour trigger wire is for the side lights. My spots have full beam and marker lights so need to work out what’s what. Can you also confirm if the trigger wires are positive or negative triggered. Thanks
Please add rock/side lights on the roof rack as it would complete your impressive light installation.
Great video TAT! I've been wondering how to run the wires into my Jimny and I didn't know about the windscreen trick that's nice and neat I like it. On my previous vehicles I ran the wiring down with the snorkel but I don't have one installed on the Jimny and I'm not sure if these days I would be just adding it purely for aesthetic value. Also I confirm that wires through the back door (although tempting) only ever lead to them being crushed into a mess. I'd be interested to hear how your 3D printed relay box is holding up... personally I'd have printed that solid :-) I'd love to see a video on a CB / UHF install and how you go about that - I commend your neatness in the wiring I love making neat wiring harnesses I don't know why people hate the job so much! All the best.
Thanks a lot!
it would have been convenient, if i had a snorkel to run the wires along. but yeah, so far, they are sitting nicely along the windshield :)
i was also curious about the 3d-prints durability. Now it's been a little over half a year, and so far, it seems to be holding up just fine.
And yeah, i agree, it's just more satisfying when the wires are all sorted :)
Thanks for your interest, and thanks for watching!
good
Great job, what software did you use to design the relay box? It looks amazing.
Thanks a lot.
I just made this one in "Tinkercad" - A free online based modeling tool. i find it nice, quick and easy to use, for simple projects like this.
Thanks for watching!
@@KJOff-Road Instead of cutting the bolts down couldn't have used washers under the bolt head to reduce the thread length?
Sir may I ask for help...I have no knowledge regarding auto electrical. I'm so glad for found your video...i don't know how to do it...I want put additional light on my car...thnks very much for the video
Hello! May i ask you how you did it with the wiring for the lightbar so that you can switch between bright light and dim light?
Thanks in advance! :)
It's fairly simple really.
There are two seperate wires on the lights themselves. (one for the dim maker lights and one for the bright light)
I just wired the dim lights, to come on with the normal headlights. and i wired the bright lights on be turned on with the separate button.
Thanks for watching along :)
Put a bull bar just to make it look cool XD
I just might ;)
Thanks for watching!
Can you share the 3D printed box specs?
The 3D file is up on Thingiverse :)
Theres a link in the video description.
what is the name of the brand o the lights?
They are from somthing called "TT Technology"
A Polish brand, i think. (As the instructions were in Polish)
I think it's just re-branded Chineese stuff, though.
Thanks for watching!
Not a fan of Weaterpak connectors, I prefer to use Deutsche connectors
put in a gun rack :D
