Tormek MB-102 Multi Base

The MB-102 Multi Base allows you to sharpen on the side of Tormek's diamond grinding wheels. This results in a completely flat bevel, which is preferable in certain applications. The MB-102 Multi Base is fully adjustable for optimal settings for each tool and jig. It also converts the horizontal mounts to vertical, for easier access when sharpening knives edge trailing, and for guided honing using knife jigs.

why tormek can design a digital angel finder is strange. your competitors are doing it. ive used tormek for knife sharpening for years. but now im using the work sharp latest manual sharpening, mainly because of the digital angelfinder, that gives perfect results. just fishied sharpening mye maxamet spyderco with the work sharp. It got a mirror egde like i never seen any maxamet have gotten before on youtube. Tormek, you need to up your game.

Uhhhh I’ve owned a T8 for years, and actually bought TWO units of the Work sharp professional precision adjust knife sharpeners. Bought two of the first 500 units assembled in America with the name plate. Yeah they might have a digital angel finder but that sharpener SUCKS for kitchen knives. The deflection/ movement in the arm is pretty terrible. Any knife with a thin spin of 2mm and under along with weighing 5 ounces or more the knife holder can’t get tight enough to hold the blade. I tried both of my units and they did the same thing.
For your everyday pocket knives it’s fine, but for larger knives it’s mediocre.
