Eurovision Battle: 2021 Vs 2022

- Last year, in the battle between 2020 and 2021, 2021 came out victorious for me! Now it's time to delve into the battle between 2021 and 2022! Obviously some countries were excluded as they only participated in one of the two years. Those are Russia (2021), Armenia (2022) and Montenegro (2022).
I have to admit some choices were rather difficult for me. I liked both entries from Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Serbia and Ukraine almost equally. Full disclaimer, last year I voted for Finland and Serbia in the semi-final and Italy, Lithuania and Cyprus in the final - so these entries hold a special place in my heart.

@@wthiszerogravitea As an Australian I don't think so 🤮 we neither liked it or even had a vote.This would have ended up last in national finals.
The ESC is a componist competition, not a vocal competition. And while this year's entry is vocally much stronger, the composition just is way to boring. It's a generic empowerment ballad. And Sheldon Riley fails to emote throughout the song and just shows off.
@@simonopps That is your opinion. I think it is the whole package. It most certainly is not boring and far from generic. If you want to talk generic then we might as well also talk about Sweden, Belgium, Poland and many others which will also all end up in the top 10 with Australia in the finals. I think you need to stop kidding yourself and just accept that Australia could possibly win this year.

Both are very good but Last Dance was just that extra bit better because of the live vocals in my opinion, Amanada was shaky in the finals but Stefania slayed, and Last Dance is very catchy and a very upbeat song which makes me feel happy.
I love Die Together as well I think it's a nice song but Last Dance is special and stands out

it might just be that i got really into eurovision like right near 2022's one and i didn't have time to really familiarize myself with last year's contest, but i've found myself really liking this year's songs in general
