I’ve gotten to see Modest Mouse twice in my life but unfortunately didn’t get to make it out for the LCW tour. I wish that I had. Rest Easy Jeremiah Green, you meant a lot to so many people. Giving it your all one last time for the fans. Going on tour with cancer is no small feat. Truckers Atlas has one of the best drum beats ever put to record. And he made it when he was 18/19. I hope he was proud of his life in the end. We all sure are.
Jeremiah wasn't on many of the LCW dates unfortunately as well. I was fortunate enough to catch this show in person and it was stellar. This show holds a very special place for me prior since it was the first big show post lockdown I had gotten to see but obviously even more so after the passing. Hearing Perfect Disguise in particular was spiritual to say the least.
Saw them last month for the first time, also basically the first time listening to their music and it was the most I've *ever* liked a band/group going in completely blind. Blown away, shocked I slept on these guys.
Same here. Saw them last night in Columbia, MD without really knowing their stuff. Hard to place them. More jamming than I thought, with diverse instumentation.
Anyone who hasn’t yet should check out some of their old shows from the 90’s when they were just a power trio. The sounds that they produced from only guitar/bass/drums were mind blowing…I still love what they’re doing, but the early stuff is truly remarkable.
I went down drunken memory lane hoping Modest Mouse were doing big band, highly professional, sets and I'm so glad to find this. Cowboy Dan will always tighten my veins.
I was at this show and it was amazing! Isaac didn’t banter much in between songs but did tell the crowd that it was being professionally filmed… so they were extra on point this night… see you on the dark side of the moon Jeremiah… Rest In Beats. You will be missed; The few times I was blessed to chat with him he was so humble and genuine and FUNNY! Thanks for posting this RB
Was he vaxxxenatted?! Why do all these people keep dropping? Why does CZcams and Google keep censoring? Look up unexplained deaths wtf. Big pharma robbed us of him;!
This showed up at #1 in my automated CZcams music playlist of my most played music in 2022. Come to think of it, 🤔 I have indeed watched this multiple times. The sound quality of this recording is exquisite. You've done a fabulous job with this upload. Thank you 👍🏼☕
RIP Jeremiah. I don't normally watch many live concerts online, but this just started auto-playing after watching some MM videos, and I just sat enthralled. I've never seen them live, and this was an amazing set.
I'm seeing them this lollapalooza, I think it's the first time they come to my country (Chile), and probably the first time in my continent too, sad that I couldn't get see Jeremiah, Rest In Peace
@@jeremyd.2156 heck yah man. i have a modest mouse lyric tattoo, a built to spill and a daniel johnston. they're my only tattoos that are based on something i didn't make up myself.
I would get picked on for liking their music, but this Bands music is something to like for the way it makes you feel rather than cheap 3-7 minute listen like todays music.
Speaking on that meme, I saw them in Cuyahoga Falls opening for Weezer last year (I went to see Modest Mouse solely for my third time). I think I made a joke prior to them coming on like, "I hope i get to hear a "well!"'.. Sure enough, Isaac walks out for the first time on stage, throws on the banjo and started "King Rat".. I knew what I was in for on the first note. The first word out his mouth that evening was a great big, "WELL!" I'll forever remember that.
Man this is sooo good! Thank you so much for uploading. Hoping so much that they get themselves down here to Australia, this will have to suffice until that happens. Fingers crossed. Thanks again xo!! ❤️🙏
5 seconds into the set and this is already the best thing I've heard all year. If there is a god I'll get to see them in St. Louis...probably won't, probably not
I saw them 1999 at the hurrican festival in germany at 11.00 in the morning on the second stage with ca. 500 people. They play the whole lonesome crowded west album and max. 50 persons and me knew them and the unknown people could not belive what They saw. The other 50000 sleep in their tents. The poor.
Haha awesome story. Wow! IMO You got to see them when they were at their best cause those were the days when they were cranking out their best albums left and right. I didn't see them live til 2010...
I’m in my 50s and always kinda put off checking out Modest Mouse, like an idiot. Finally this year I started diving into their catalog and holy flying pancakes is it good.
@@larsonfamilyhouse I think the guy playing horn was suffering from cancer at the time. He passed away 3 months after this show, he was the normal horn guy.
The horn during Spitting Venom is my favorite part and it just lacked… heart… I’d gladly learn the trumpet if you need someone to give it their all each and every time ❤
it's weird how that is.. live performances can be different things, MM's music is hard to reproduce exactly as studio produced which I think some people think is 'good'. Some bands play technically amazing but their music tends to be far, far more simple... MM lends itself to semi chaotic improvising, so why hate on it? IMO live performances are equally about an unique experience and I think people there will probably have good memories of the uniqueness and energy of the concern. Much rather have that than a perfect album performance. So people saying they're not good live really mean "I value hearing produced music and I don't care about memorable experiences". To each their own..

I can't believe the way he incorporated Life Like Weeds lyrics into the ending of Dramamine that was so awesome
