How to dock a large Sail Catamaran

Talk about tight! Training Steve on his 48 Sail Cat during a strong tide. We had to maneuver his 25’ beam between the dolphin and a 2 million dollar yacht before we could turn into his fairway. He wanted some extra confidence and to work on his skill before taking on this himself.

Might help to be a little closer to the throttles rather than sitting 5 feet away, but decent work there!

I am a tad confused. The owner has locked the steering wheel off. All good, why then did the instructor not have him stand directly behind the throttles and have one hand on each throttle for control instead of leaning over towards the throttles and using only one hand. (maybe there is a reason which is not shown). This is just such an awkward way of trying to control a mono or a dual motor vessel for that matter.
