  • Another project that has come into my hands, I have really enjoyed the assembly. I love the finishes of this Ritchey Outback
    For me, this is a real Keeper to do Km without thinking.
    Thanks to all the people who helped me to be able to ride this bike!

      Hey! I assume you have hydraulic brakes. Do you take the rear brake caliper off when taking apart the frame or do you use some kind of coupler? Thank you!

    Excellent build! I am wondering if there is any way to set saddle tilt based on the rail, not the saddle top.

      leveling laser - or a small level.

      This is a nice question as you coud adjust the same angle for different bikes. But each saddle has a different angle and surface so won't be possible to do it... Thanks for the comment!

    bro i got one and i have no idea how to route the front derailleur cable lol is it supposted to cross the bottle cages on the downtube or what

      Haha it is true, I just used some spacers but... I think cable routing is the worst part of the bike

    The brown bar tape doesn't match at all. An orange one or black like the saddle would be much more appropriate.

    Ain’t nobody got time for torque wrenches these days 🤔😂🫣

    • @charlesmansplaining
      @charlesmansplaining Před 8 měsíci

      You don't need a torque wrench when you have steel and aluminum. That carbon junk you need a torque wrench and carbon paste. I stay clear of carbon as much as possible.

    • @KOL630
      @KOL630 Před 23 dny

      @@charlesmansplaining it’s not just about crushing carbon tube. You can still damage metal / compromise bolts and threads by over tightening. It’s basic engineering knowledge. Also the forks on the Ritchey are carbon so it’s not just a steel bike.

      @@KOL630 I've been wrenching my own bikes for 5 decades and I don't know what you're talking about. I must be a pretty Engineer. Common sense goes a long way too.

      @@charlesmansplaining just because you have been doing something a long time doesn’t mean you’ve been doing it correctly. Read up about it you’ll see I’m right. There is reason torque wrenches exist. All proper engineers use them.

    • @charlesmansplaining
      @charlesmansplaining Před dnem

      @@KOL630 I generally tighten bolts just to that point they do the job. I have a Torque wrench and I was actually surprised it tightens the bolts tighter than I do from feel. I don't think I have anything to worry about. Most people would tighten a bolt until they couldn't turn it anymore. Like I said, I tighten them until they just do the job. If something slips going down the road, like say my hoods move, I'll tighten it a bit more but that's very rare that has happened. I work on machines for a living so I have excellent sense about this. But thanks for your concern.
