SPOILER ALERT: So basically : a bunch of rich people go to this restaurant on an island. This restaurant is very famous for the chef (Julian Slowik ) . His cooking is very renowned. So the guy Tyler takes Margot instead of his gf. The chef was planning to kill everyone working and eating there through various new recipes. Tyler knew everyone was going to die but still came and hired margot cause his gf "broke up".
    SPOILER ALERT:
In the end everyone dies except for Margot. She escapes by offending the chef. She didnt touch his food cause she thought it was bad and wierd. She asked for a hamburger and took it to go and left on a boat

I love the BTS to this scene that Anya told in an interview. Originally, she was supposed to show the betrayal and anger through her eyes/face, just taking it in silent rage. But Anya said she didn't believe that's how the character would react and that she NEEDED to show actual, physical rage. So, after the producer allowed her to, without informing her co-star, she instead attacked "Tyler" and actually hit him square in the face. She wanted to show that female rage isn't the silent, passive kind we always see, where the female cast just take the abuse and silently let a single tear roll down their cheek, or have a slight quiver in their lip. It is so much more and it made this moment so good!

    • @LifeIsGainz

Before anyone else comments here it wasn't an actual punch to the face it was more of a slap and he was totally cool with it he's said in an interview. They had a sort of improv anything can happen vibe on the set and obviously she didn't actually try to hurt him and no boundaries were crossed. On other sets with other actors and environments it could've definitely not been okay but it seems for this one it was fine.
Just to say as well I totally agree with her choice it did elevate the scene.

If your wondering how it ends:
The girl (Margot) is the only guest who isn't a pretentious ass. Unlike the others, she doesn't appreciate his bs dishes he's serving to teach his guests a lesson.
At the end she says she's still hungry and asks for a cheeseburger and fries. The head chef (Julian) actually appreciates the request since the whole reason he became a chef was his love for food, when he was flipping burgers as a teen. He makes the food for her, she asks for it 'to-go', effectively asking to be freed. He says yes, because Julian considers Margot to be the only guest who understands how it is to work in the service industry. Knowing that death was the end goal he questions whether Tyler brought the wrong person. Even at the beginning of the arrival, they question who Margo is.
