This movie has an impressive cast and is beautifully shot and directed.
Most important the Alternatino guy
too bad it’s boring
@@s_.777Only if you have the attention span of a moth, imo
@@terrortower666 it was very bland, if midsommar was poorly written it would be this movie.
@@s_.777 guy who has only seen midsommar: getting a lot of midsommar vibes from this
At the end where the chef is excited to be making the hamburger HIMSELF is so wholesome. I felt bad that his life had became so stale that led him to become the guy he is.
The pressure broke him
Cheeseburger
I thought the same thing !
That's what capitalism does to people. It coerces them into a life that will psychologically destroy them if they have a soul.
Good job watching the movie?
Knowing what happens at the end and what happens all throughout the movie this line hits differently.
I can’t wait to find out….
"Accept, accept all of it, and forgive"
Wow are you saying the ending of a movie affects the movie as a whole?
You have to watch this in a theatre. The music and sound is next level
You said it! I honestly felt I was trapped in the restaurant with all the other guests.
@@shannonmcelroy8454 and the clap so thunderous. And actually deeply annoying, like how margot pointed out 😂
@@airongmc6810 i watched it in the theatre, and i'm telling you i didn't bother touching my drink because the first time the chef clapped i was in the middle of sipping my drink and that thunderous clap legit made me choke
Dude, I got an expensive gaming headset that you can physically taste a mouse pass gas behind a wall, or sound system to boot, 4 x 10inch subs, 2 amps, 8 speakers, 2 sound bars, gold plated connectors, with pin piont bluetooth sensor array, I even make my nieghbours cry that they phone me to put the sound up so they can stop tasting mouse gas, I am good watching it at home thanks..
I can also make popcorn so much better than the movie house, I can also finger blast my chick without the scratch patch test first..
Made me fall back in my seat 😂
Smores will never be the same. 4 stars. Great flick.
Neither will cheeseburgers.
@@Plantlady70 I got so hungry for a cheeseburger when I watched this movie.
the greatest assault to the human pallet ever invented 🤣
Still gonna eat them.
@@natedoggcata niggas with no childhood would say this 😂
This is like if Voldemort transformed into Gordon Ramsey to prolong his life after he won the wizarding war and now he spends his time killing muggles by trapping them by posing as a master chef
The horror!
I'm crying😭😭
Whys he got an American accent though
this movie was so twisted lol and that ending ! wtf was that lol
He opened a Dumbledore's Arby's
Slowik: ‘Do not eat’
Slowik later: ‘EAT!!!’
I love when he smiles and says "Enjoy" and then his face just turns to stone right after lmao
Ralph should be nominated for an Oscar
He was for Schindler's List
i was genuinely terrified of him
@@justanothermortal1373 And The English Patient
The man that play in doctor sunshine did good work too vs Santa. I think he should be nominated for an Oscar too for fighting Santa.
He was absolute world class in Schindlers list. Top 2 Villain Portrayals ever in my pov!
Great acting from Ralph Fiennes.
Tell me about it. That had to be the best performance I have seen from him, and I’ve seen Prince of Egypt.
Awards don’t matter, but I hope this movie, and especially Ralph Fiennes, gets some well earned respect for this film. Not a perfect movie, but it’s original, well written, and executed very well.
Nicholas Hoult’s character was vital in selling that illusion somewhat to us
Ralph Finnes takes his character as head chef of a haute cuisine restaurant very seriously. Before he presents the course of his menu, he asks his guests to try savouring and tasting every bite of the food but not to gab. Fine gourmets are often presented in small portions to encourage diners to take their bites to experience the full flavour.
You also need to have small portions when you get served more the a dozen courses. Each course is fairly small, but by the end you’ve still eaten an outrageous amount of food.
No.
Fine gourmets are often presented in small portions because if you provide only a small portion, there is generally not enough time to get accustomed to the flavor in order to criticize it. Small portions let you get away with things you wouldn't get away with a larger portion. Just hammer home a few bright flavors and viola.
@@celebrim1 genuine haute cuisine degustation menus have small portions because there's usually 8-12 courses. any good cook can tell from a tiny taste of a dish any criticisms they might have about it. the fact of the matter is that tasting menus barely make money as it is: you can only seat as many tables as can fit in the restaurant unlike a regular a la carte dining service where tables can be seated again and again as guests finish their food and leave. tasting menus operate at a razor thin price margin compared to literally any normal restaurant you might go to for a steak or pasta; realistically even the most acclaimed tasting menus will normally be in the 150-400 dollar price range before wine pairings to ensure you can fill the restaurant every night. the portions are small because the ingredient cost for that style of plating is too high to serve larger portions. for example, el bulli, perhaps the highest regarded restaurant in this style charges 250 euro for their tasting menu before wine, and they have broken even financially year in year out despite the fact that it has 3 michelin stars and 85% of their staff are unpaid interns.
this style of dining is generally on more of a decline now for that reason, but even historically the most authentically good tasting menus in the haute cuisine world have been more trouble than they are worth to serve.
Congrats on saying absolutely nothing in such a lengthy comment.
This movie made me fall in love with Ralph Fiennes, and now I'm addicted to his movies 😭
Just skip The English Patient . That film was so boring not even HIS talent could save it.
not even From *The Schindler's List?*
if haven't do quite so
AVADA KEDAVRA!!!
I love how, as much as I can't support his most destructive actions; as a consumer, I still feel awed by his pleas to accept and love his food as it is. I've been on both sides of the equation where I just want my work to be seen for what it really is and the other where I've mindlessly consumed without giving any thanks or notice.
I desperately want a pseudo-prequel in the form of a "Chef's Table - Julian Slowik" mockumentary
Including an epilogue revealing the chef's death at his restaurant due to strange circumstances...
Its called The Bear
Im obsessed with this movie
Love the music under this scene, the atmosphere of it.
The music is 10/10
So exciting. I’m sure everyone enjoyed their dinner and had a wonderful experience
I loved the Cheeseburger twist
The Menu is a cinematic culinary masterpiece!
"And forgive."
That's ironic, coming from him.
Such a great performance from this man
I loved this movie. Not for everyone. Was definitely a vibe
Thought it was going to be bad at first but I was not disappointed. A must watch.
This film is fantastic, go watch it
A beautiful film. Must watch if you haven't already
1:07: Me: Okay. Enjoy the food, don’t scarf it down like a vacuum cleaner. Thanks for the tip!
Such a great movie. Whole lotta fun👏👏
Disturbing movie. I loved it!
I love this film
Watched this two times now in cinema! Loved it so much. Incredible soundtrack by Colin Stetson (Hereditary) too!
chef acting ... brilliant ! 👏🎬
This was the best movie I've seen in years. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who's interested. It won't be for everyone but I personally consider this to be one of a rare breed of perfect movies.
I really liked this movie. Good characters, very funny and the horror elements were unique. It's pretty clear what you're supposed to take away from it, but still allows you to think a bit and overall was a fun watch.
What a vague comment
Just read the script, it was fantastic.
This dude
Yep it is search for Blacklist 2019
Blacklist script is different from theatrical release. Margot’s relationship to Tyler is different.
Nerds ^^
Yes it is different, but the changes isn't that drastic well except for some scenes that are understandably graphic (dog chow scene, aftermath)
Best movie about a psychotic chef ever
Awesome film.
Whoever wrote this did a fantastic job, and knows how to be funny in a subtle way
This movie was increíble loved the ending!
Food glorious food. We’re anxious to try.
Three banquets a day, our favorite diet!
Just picture a great big steak!
Fried, roasted or stewed~
Can’t wait to watch this movie.
Me too!
You won't be disappointed
its so sick and twisted lol anya taylor joy was good in this
I just seen it thanksgiving.
You absolutely should!
The film is an immaculate distillation of the broader conception of Art. 10/10.
This movie is so good
I was pleasantly surprised/impressed by this amazing film. I feel weird to just call it a movie bcuz that puts it in the same category…
Beautiful scenery.
Inspirational.
Just 100% ART.
Loved it from start to finish.
What a vague and useless comment
Ralph Fiennes is a master
I expereinced a very similar greeting from the concierge at McDonald's.
Saw this movie tonight, Amazing!
Love a psych thriller which has to be discussed after you leave, and seen again! Loved the character development which is lacking in todays movies . People now need constant action in order to engage , I liked the pace of this movie. I deff have to watch it again to call all the themes.
I find it interesting how so many people in this comment section didn’t see themselves in this movie… but in that case I guess you wouldn’t 😉
Yes..i.think about the film since two days. IT was so interesting to guess which topics the Film wants to Transport in a subtle Level (Like politics, the dynamic of Revolution and on the other Hand, what WE are willing to Accept as a society, as human...etc.)
And i See myself in a few Stong Character Trades, but also at the weak spots and Had hat chilling, unplesant Feeling to Look at my own stuck in the System.
IT was a very inspiring evening.^^
Congrats on being the kinda person this movie critiques.
@@pderham26 yea , uh huh thanks😌
Can't get over how Ralph looks like Nikola Tesla, really wish we could get a real biofilm cuz he'd be perfect
i was suprised by the ending,,, its not quite what i thought would happen,,, but pleasant none the less... Nothing like a good Cheeseburger!
I think this was the first time I saw Ralph Finnes out of Voldemort character, I loved him so much in this movie lol
Funny Ralph F plays a chef because he's an absolute snack.
I was expecting somekind hannibal lecter human flesh ingridients inside those dishes
Same I thought he was going to force canabilsm on the other dinners. I think my imagination went too far 🤣
I think that is one thing this film (especially the first half of it) does so well. It's so mysterious and alluring but also foreboding enough that it's hard not to imagine something like this. It's almost too easy to insert some cannibalism into a horror/comedy set in a prestigious restaurant, so they never do it. It's nice restraint, I think.
Watched the whole thing yesterday. It was epic and funny at the same time. But is there an interpretation to the scenes and movie as a whole?
Beware of what you consume. Beware of what consumes you.
Eaters become the eaten, man stop looking for meaning in movies, ask your mom to love you a bit more.
@@Cent51 and what are u doing in the comments section? Perhaps looking forthr meaning of the movie?
@@Cent51 Very curious how you came to the conclusion that movies have no meaning. Your use of the word "mom" also implies youth. Are you by any chance a bitter pre-teen trying to look tough by putting others down while also projecting your own "mommy issues" onto them?
There is a lesson to be learned from this movie, that you should be careful not to let what you are passionate about turn into an obsession, especially if what you do involves trying to please people you will never know, and who are never satisfied.
Im so crazy about Anya Taylor-Joy. Why? She just does something to me...
Look around you “ …my guy closes his eyes !

that guy is basically every time my mother cooks
she'll strangle you if you don't show utmost respect while eating her food
Message to WB/DC and James Gunn.
If you are rebooting Superman from the ground up.. Please pay Ralph Feinnes whatever he asks, and cast him as Lex Luthor.. I just see him being so perfect for that role.
Loved this movie too
Can't find the full movie 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

I want a cheeseburger after watching this movie
Went to Five Guys IMMEDIATELY after watching this
“ dr herman, calling dr herman “
Her koMander goth is back
“Ah, Tyler. If it isn’t the boy who dined.”
I saw one review say it best. Julian Slowik makes Gordon Ramsay look like Spongebob Squarepants.
i feel like he is about to take his wand out and say this certain spell any minuets
Did anyone else die laughing when she was like
Woman: "Can any of us live?"
and chef's like "Didn't you go to Brown university?"
Woman: "Yeah.."
Chef: "Did you have student loans?"
Woman: "No..."
Chef: "Then you must die."
XD
I guess the clap is like a mind control thing
Command the attention of the room.
Be mindful what you do with it after…
@@MelaninMula is that what the chef says?
I loved this movie. Just the end happened a bit too fast and I think everyone just sitting there and waiting didn't match to all the different characters presented.
Well none of that sounded ominous at all. Nope. Not one bit.😂
I worked in a Michelin restaurant actually 2 (I never did learn lol ) it sucks being a chef at that level no respect 80 plus hours paid for 42 ! free rent as my CV was decent ... plus i learned to ask for free rent if the wage was crap..1st night Michelin guy came in alone i was cooking steaks all night thats all . I worked so hard i fell asleep on duty standing over a table mental hours .sous chef was shouting at me in the office ...I fell asleep in there as well ahh miss it though
this was a fucking crazy movie
He seems nice
Anyone know what that first course is?
FIRST COURSE: The Island - Foraged plants, manila clam, seawater
Last course: Smores.
Reminds me a little of Gordon Ramsay. Sure he still loves to cook, but despite cooking in his noble restaurants, he still enjoys simple burgers
If you have never eaten in an expensive, gourmet restaurant, this movie will probably be over your head. After the first course description I leaned to my wife and told her I suddenly had the desire to go eat at McDonalds. Great movie.
LOL one episode of hells kitchen and your fine. You arent special cause youve been to a restaurant that sells over priced steak.
Do we want give an Oscar to Ralph Fiennes?👀
If only. He did get a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor, so there’s that.
🥰🙏❤😘
It's like "squid game" but in a restaurant
I would have fought tooth and nail. He sorts of calls them out for it.
This is what happens when you don't blow an entire movie budget on cgi and just get good writers and actors. Just like the cheeseburger, i suppose. No added bullshit, just good basics.
Maybe it’s because I know that Slowik’s actor is British, but I also know that he’s a very good actor, so maybe it’s a very specific dialect….I can’t place which part of America (or Europe) that accent comes from. Can someone help me?
What the Chef is saying here isn’t real food.
007 and harry potter
They even have the world's worst translator in it, what a fancy restaurant
What is the translator doing here? Not translating i hope 🤨
so was it people?
Where's the lamb sauce!?!!?!?

Is this because he has compassion or he's just a chef with no degree taking lives
Volcemort feeding them their own children?
Am I the only one who wanted to give him a hug or sth? 😅 Despite the fact that he's a murderous psycho? He looks kinda cuddly. It drives me nuts.
Idk why, but he reminds me of that one fat mafia Italian guy from the sopranos, just a bit thinner.
All the chefs at my old job were kinda creepy.... rubbing peoples shoulders wheen really they should be worried about that dry ass steak they served me
I heard welcome to Hogwarts😄
