    I REALLY like what Alliance did with this unit. 5th wheel features in a towable. I can see myself pulling this with a 1-ton with the Harley in the bed of the truck. Hot/cold rating knocks it out of the park for me. Time to start playing the lotto. 😆

    Many of these RVs are near perfect. What would put them over the top is ALL have W/D hookups available in either the wardrobe or pantry. Let the consumer decide if they want to have a W/D or use it for storage. At least the wiring and plumbing would be there. I can't imagine it would be that more expensive to run the lines. Why cannot this be done?

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  Před 8 měsíci

      It's not that it _can't_ be done. It just wasn't. It'll add a few bucks sure but it's not impossible.
      As to why it wasn't done? I cannot speak on the factory's behalf. perhaps a member of their team could provide better insights

    This is excellent! A couple nitpiking is the open storage in the bath and only 20lb LP tanks. I think this is the best organized pass through storage I have seen. Even have a clip to hold the socket for the legs. Battery shutoff is up out of the way and the picnic table is well supported in the ceiling.

    Josh another fantastic video! Wife and I are debating between this one and the 294RK. Not sure which one yet. hopefully by the time Rv show season gets here we will have our minds made up. I am sure we will be rewatching your videos on both of them. You are the only one we watch for rv reviews. You are very informative and give your honest opinion. That is very hard to find now a days. Now I think it is time to find myself some Nerd Herd merch. Really would like to get some stickers and such. Keep up the Great work man! Look forward to your monthly video soon.

      I personally *really* like the 294 layout but if I were traveling, then I'd go with one of these. Rear kitchens are some of my favorites but best used for short trips and destinations since all your storage bounces behind axles

    I just picked up my Delta 292RL this week. Looks great and actually was ordered with three AC’s…The TV size and built in speaker is really cool.
    Oddly - the kitchen sink does not drain unless an electric pump is utilized. I’ve never seen something like this - have you?

    With a few changes in this unit like where the pantry is, it looks like my Grand Design Imagine 2970RL. I took that 40in tv out of mine and with an adjustment to the tv adapter, I installed a 43in. In my unit. Even the counter tops are the same. In the bathroom same shower, same cubbies, same sink, but I have a slide door on the bathroom. The decor is also the same, same storage in the bedroom.

    We love these new trailers. Trying to decide between the 292rl or the rk. Leaning toward the rl for a couple reasons. Having dump valves at both ends of the rk is a major pain for weekend trips where there are no sewer hookups at the site. Have to dump the pooper and wash it out then unhook and hook the grays at the rear and dump. People behind me will not be happy. On both units the bathroom fan is not reachable without a stool for anyone under 5'7" which is everyone in my family except me. We just crack the vent in our current camper and the fan has a wall switch. What would wall switch for the fan cost while they are building? $5 maybe. Can't upgrade to a fan switch without tearing out the walls. Also even a small shower seat would be great. My wife is a leg shaver thank goodness but not a contortionist. Just a couple of small changes and this could be the greatest game changer in a while. This camper is closest I've seen to exactly what we want for a final seniors camper. Super nice, super functional. Get after em Josh!

    This was one of our finalists when we bought at the Hershey show a few months ago. We wound up with the Bullet 287RLS instead tho since it had a few things we wanted, and wasn't BROWN. The delta was awesome, but didn't have certain things that were deal breakers we wanted for quite a bit more than what we bought. • @philblock
      @philblock Před 8 měsíci

      @@alexanderclabo3109 bullet had power stabilizers, better solar options(we got the 440i w/inverter), we LOVED the interior colors, it's about a foot and a half shorter, came with a booth dinette and not chairs/table standard, convection microwave standard and it was over $7k LESS than the delta. Only way to get power stabilizers on the delta 292rl was to spend an additional $3k for auto leveling. Both were 50amp, 2 ACs, heated underbelly. Delta has tank heaters but for basically 10k less than a similarly equipped delta we got 440w solar, 2k inverter, dinette we preferred, WDH, a max air fan for the bathroom(w/rain cover), and a full 3 camera system from furrion.
      Build quality didn't seem any better to me, some materials were nicer in the delta but we're not living in it. We got torsion axels, GY endurance tires, standard too. Was just a better value, even tho we liked the centered stove and kitchen window, and floor flush slides better on the delta. If it was a $5k difference, it would have been a harder choice but we still liked the look of the Bullet better.

    I love the way Alliance builds their rvs. If only they had a true outdoor kitchen model I would buy one today. And I mean a kitchen with a real sink not a hose and a dog dish, that is not a kitchen. And if anyone wants to run dual a/c units on 30 amp service in any rv just install a soft start unit on them.

    • @neilfromclearwaterfl81
      @neilfromclearwaterfl81 Před 8 měsíci

      Been running Dual AC on 30 amps in my 90's Winnebago with the Powerline System without the need for a soft start or any other modifications. They came capable of this from the factory. Just turn everything on and the Powerline System that was Standard Equipment would orchestrate things so both AC would run simultaneously and then on those occasions where you ran a microwave, hair dryer, toaster, coffee pot, etc, etc would automatically turn the electric water heater off, switch the refrigerator to propane, turn the fans to a lower speed, etc, etc and only turn off the second AC unit when there was absolutely no other choice. Perhaps I've been spoiled by already having this for around 30 years now however its not really anything new or cutting edge. 20 amp was the one AC at a time limit even back then.
      Best!

    Well done but still shades of brown. Would’ve been nice to see light cabinets whether it be light wood tones or painted. The cabinetry kind of overpowers the space and to me it makes it look smaller. So many great features here and Alliance is already establishing a great reputation. I’ll be spending lots of time in my RV of course and waking up to that décor daily wouldn’t be my favorite thing. Maybe they’ll consider a lighter décor option down the road.

  • @Hazwaste63
    @Hazwaste63 Před 6 měsíci

    Positives: The usual "RLS" layout except with a loaded 1000# hitch weight, leaving plenty of my 3000# cargo rating (and my bed) for other things. Kitchen prep area is great with that pantry out of the way. No kitchen toe-jammer. Negatives: My F250 is a 7.3 gasser, and navigating gas stops along the road is sometimes already a challenge with my 26' TT, would be a real issue with 34' of camper. The fridge/freezer is too small. Overall: Definitely considering this for our next TT, along with the 29RL.

    Overall a nice rig. 2 ACs are a necessity down here, and being able to run both on 30 amp is outstanding, even with the concessions. If RV manufacturers refused to buy furniture with the thigh-buster USB ports, the furniture mfrs would fix the problem. What size is that oven? If you said, I missed it. I really think Delta is the best implementation of this floorplan. Its minor but the pantry location next to the tv has always kinda bugged my visually, add to that the dual air on 30 amp and the exterior storage size and its an easy pick for me. Curiosity I have though, considering so many (i believe all) Alliance fifth wheels are 101 inch wide body, is there a limitation for travel trailers that prevents it the wider unit? Wondering if there is a mechanical reason or if they wanted to make sure they didn't venture to far outside the lines for their first attempt.

      Apologies - I'm not able to know your vehicle's capacities based on just GCWR and cannot give you a definitive answer as a result.
      I've seen half tons with curb weights from 4000-6000 so it could go either way. Even if possible, then you'd be really pushing EVERYTHING that truck could handle

    Josh, is this a 50 amp or a 30 amp? I know you can run both Acs on 30, but is it a 30 amp shore cord? Haven't taken delivery yet,waiting for it to show up.

      @@JoshtheRVNerd 😆 I assumed you were trying to avoid a CZcams problem by saying something like Smith & Wesson. I guess you could’ve just said “protection” and covered scenarios. Anyhow, thanks for another video.!!

    I do like thes floorplans, but I'd hate to spend this kind of money on a trailer only to have to take an axe to chop the divider out of the theater seat. #RVNerdHerd

      lol I get it
      Was talking with ember about theater seating yesterday and shared how a growing number of people are disliking hard, fixed arm rests and prefer a folding type
      I _am_ trying man

    I’m not an electrician but sounds kinda dangerous to have just 30 amps when if you have both ac’s on you have to cut one off to use the micro.Josh you might want to research that a little more and explain that in a little more detail.Sounds to me and again I’m not an electrician that I would rather have 50 amps and be able to go full throttle with my electricity use but that’s just me.Thats my two cents worth and it’s really not worth 2 cents maybe 1/2 penny.

    You know something about these ribs, full time is not a true feature, a small refrigerator, an oven you can only make cookies or a small frozen pizza in, a less than a full size microwave. Many comprises, for a couple, wishing to eat in. And a smallish closet. These things are not that heavy in comparison and with alliances buying power could make across the board up grades. So stop saying that great for couples! It’s not, it’s adequate

      I don't personally disagree. But I would say I've met all kinds of folks during my time in this business. What is "Full time capable" really depends on what that person expects and tolerates
      I've seen people full time RV for years in something as small and basic as a wolf pup 16FQ
      I couldn't do it personally. But Some folks love the simplicity I've found
