Mate seriously that’s mental amount of stuff to do in a day! I order from Amazon quite a bit, and massively respect you guys for doing what you do.
Thanks so much!!!!
Heehaw compared to a construction worker mate
Dont get me wrong. I can imagine thats no picnic for a job either mate..just sayin
Are you happy paying tax whilst they don't?
@@union310 who is “they”?
You boys are legends. You have to find a new address for every drop. People are never in, their neighbours won't take in parcels. Cameras, bus lanes, rush hour traffic, trying to find somewhere to park, possibility of having your parcels/van nicked. Rain, snow, unlit roads .. the hazards are never-ending.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
Wow that comment was really appreciative thanks so much! It really is true
I always get mine delivered to the amazon hub purely because I know the hassle it causes amazon drivers when im not in. Takes me 4 minutes to drive up to the hub. Now that i think of it maybe that not ideal as less parcel for amazon driver (less targets, commision etc?
Exactly and ppl selling tickets at train stations earn twice what these guys get and they winge about their pay it makes you puke
Dogs! Don't forget them. Loaded to the hilt with parcels when a dog you didn't know was there decides to hang off your arse.
this job is very very hard
I left this job after a few weeks it was just way too stressful for me. I have mad respect for the people like you who are able to do it!!!
Thanks
Think I'd be getting too many speeding tickets. And parcels would get broken due to stress 😂 hats off to him
Stick to the beak and e’s on a weekend Raza
@@maselm okie dokie. Or just stick with what ur comfortable doing that brings in good money 😂
I genuinely did not realise how tough this job is, and add to that the stress of driving and also trying to find parking spaces on today’s crowded streets, I will never complain about my job again after watching you working, you all deserve a medal 🎖
Hahaha thanks so much
Agree totally, I've done delivery driving in the past where I'd cover over 150 miles per day doing 20 drops, that seems nothing compared to this however it's tiring just driving out on the roads and running into traffic where you lose so much time....not sure what's more stressful but these vast amounts of drops seems pretty overwhelming to me...the money is good, but how many hours are they working a week? Do the maths and they're probably on well less than £15 an hour..
@@barrywilliams4866 I have worked in care for nearly 30 years supporting people with mental health issues, like most jobs it has become tougher over the years with extra work and responsibilities being given to staff by these new types of micro managers that really do not have a clue about the job as they have spent their lives sat in an office, without any real experience of doing the job itself, but I think I would still be better off working a 13 hour shift doing this than working for Amazon. I do not think that I could keep up that pace at my age 🤣
@@jasonclarke7422 Both very stressful jobs, I'm not sure what breaking point is, lets keep getting people to do more and more, you can see why people go sick after a while, these days I'd sooner have less money but more free time to actually do things I enjoy, that actually cost very little as it happens....but with a lot of jobs that's hard to find, you have little choice sometimes, but this multi drop delivery job is bloody tough from all angles, the only positive is that when you're in that van you are your own boss and no two days are ever the same with many stories along the way....
Much respect for doing what looks like a exhausting and demanding job. It really is an essential role as we all depend upon your work in one way or another. A really good insight. As a train driver, I will never moan that I’m tired moving a lever back and forth.
Ahahahaha you’re a legend for that comment, thank you very much!
He states in the video it’s not tiring for him 😂
Yeah and getting paid a small fortune for moving that lever .. when nurses, fire and police get paid a load less ... Never moan being a train driver
@@phantombigballs8165 I mean, Yeah you can get paid up to 65K a year for being an experienced driver. You get around 25K starting out, Which is still not too shabby for learning the ropes. But don't put down the level of skills involved and the burden on their shoulders (Mr grunt being modest lol). Oh yes I agree hospital/emergency service people do deserve a healthy pay rise.. But it is what it is.
I found getting in and out of the car 100 times plus is the hardest part
Keep it up mate, 100% key-worker in my eyes through the pandemic, it’s a shame not a lot of people appreciate delivery drivers/HGV drivers.
Thanks a lot Phil
Plandemic*.
Who says they don't appreciate them? I feel most people do
"People feel sorry for themselves no matter where they work" - one of the most correct sayings I've ever heard. I used to hate working for my last company. I've moved, and things are a lot better here, but also reflecting on it, they did actually try to treat staff well, they brought in flexible working hours and the ability to work from home (7 years before the pandemic began and everyone was doing it), they gave you free breakfasts and fresh fruit, they gave you unlimited holidays and a bunch of other staff perks.
We just knew we got paid a lot less than everyone else in the industry, and honestly I could have moved jobs sooner, so really it's on me for not doing so. Good days were a plenty with my team, way more than the bad days
That was a real interesting read! Thanks for the comment! And appreciation
Some people don't have that luxury. Not everyone can "just move jobs". Sometimes it takes training to move to a different industry and sometimes people might not have the cash to retrain.
Just because YOU managed to change jobs and improve your situation, doesn't mean we should stop advocating for better working conditions for everyone.
Vote for left wing parties who fight for workers and not for corporations, and unionize. IWW (International Workers of the World) is a good place to start.
@@sukotu23 I'm not saying move industry. Usually where you live there's multiple companies you can go to. Therefore, a lot of the time you don't need to retrain or get additional education.
Sure, advocate for better working conditions. I'm not saying not to do such a thing. What I'm saying is that if you're not happy at a place, but one that actually offers quite good conditions, you just don't fit in. Or the pay just isnt as good... then move if you're able to.
Also, if you're worried about cash moving from one job to the next, you do know you can get money from the government for this, right?
Hard working and a very likeable, friendly lad. We'd be screwed without people like you! Subbed. Take care, friend
Thanks so much, take care
Appreciate every single one of you guys for the process you have to go through. There surely needs to be a way of making it easier for you guys to sort parcels when you have an overflow. Even a separate compartment in the van that makes parcels visible. Hats off mate. Proper legend!
Appreciate that comment a lot
That's what the yellow stickers on boxes are for. When I was doing this job I used to load all my overflow from the last 3 on the yellow sticker. (Example 1a 2b 2e etc) and check what you will be delivering first on the app. Saved me so much time!!
@Simon 1985 nice paragraph
You seem a real down to earth guy and work hard also, keep it up bud, never thought I'd be watching a courier driver delivering parcels, alot of work goes into it, I understand that for sure, well done pal 🙌👏
Thank you very much for your comment man I appreciate it
This is a very difficult job. Massive massive respect to you guys. I will be much more appreciative of the next driver that delivers my parcels...
I’m so thankful for workers like you! Massive respect 🙌🏽👏🏽
I was a self employed courier for about 3 years , it was the hardest job I've have ever had . Respect to you my friend
It’s deff fast paced, thank you very much my friend
Thanks for an insight into your job and all the hard work you put into your day. I’m sure you’re under a lot of pressure to get your deliveries sorted on time etc so great to see you are really positive and still smiling at the end of your day - nice 1 buddy 👌👍
Thanks Mark
Just as I was sat there feeling sorry for myself I watched your video and realised I have a lot to be grateful for. An excellent insight into a work life I suspected was hard but goodness it's tough. Well done you for taking us all on your journey.
Thanks so much
ZAC - Can I just say a massive thanks to you and all the delivery drivers who have worked non stop, especially during the pandemic. Legends all of you.

My home town so enjoyed playing 'Spot The Road!' Great respect for the graft you all put in - easy to forget it's guys like yourself making it all flow so smoothly.
Hahahaha that’s fantastic have a good day
Fascinating video showing how hard you guys work. I've always wondered how the process works and you have made this very enjoyable to watch. Keep up the great work Zac 👍

Great to see behind the scenes, this was a cool vid! I once missed a OTP delivery and it was really frustrating, but I also love that the security for expensive orders is in place.
Wow! Very informative. What a fantastic job you do...looks quite stressful but also satisfying! We should all appreciate the hard work of the delivery drivers especially in recent times.👏. Great video!
Appreciate the comment. Have a nice day
As a Amazon customer it really showed me what you drivers have to do and will give me a LOT more patience ,not that I am impatient just human and forget sometimes that life has a lot of sides and to remember that ..I hope you get what I am trying to say hahah ..nice one matey ,you will go far in life I am sure of this after watching your vid..I totally agree that people should not be disrespectful to another person even if they are having a bad day themselves ..keep up the great work
Wow thanks for that, really appreciate it, take car
Anyone who moans at a delivery driver is a fool 😂 like the drivers going to personally call Jeff Bezos up and say "Mate Colin at 26 Wemdover Road is proper upset that his package was a day late" 🤭

Currently sat at my desk at home eating a sandwich moaning about having to pull some report (not that hard). Then I come across this vid and think there is no way I should be complaining as the job you're doing is proper tough graft. Not only the work but the driving, contending with parking/ parking tickets etc. Bezos enjoying life in St Barts over Xmas because of people like you. Well done.

Thanks Zac, I enjoyed this insight to the delivery drivers role, I buy a lot from Amazon and respect you guys for delivery’s everyday of the week , cheers mate
Thank you Dave
Massive respect and absolutely thankful to all the drivers out there. Thank you so much! For sharing this documentary. This have showed me the utter and complete hardwork and effort you guys go through. I myself also thinking to do some delivery job and see how it goes 😂😂😂
As someone who buys alot maybe to much from amazon I thank you for your service over the pandemic most of my delivery drivers have been polite and really respectful of social distance rules and I'm so glad you know how to use a ring doorbell my drivers seem scared of mine lol
Thanks so much!!
I Couldnt do this mate, hats off to you! Invaluable service your providing 👏🏼

Subbed. And yes bloody hard job. Loyal customer here. Are u able to choose the distribution company like the good one you mentioned? Also how on earth do u workout the loading of the van wothbthr drop off? Do u have to rummage though the whole van?
This was a really good video showing the insight to what you do. Hope your employer does see this video as it shows what a hard dedicated and polite worker you are. Deserve to be recognised !.
Thank you very much really appreciate this comment. He did actually see it. Haha
I would second that comment. You're a lovely person and a credit to amazon delivery 😊

Been doing this job a couple of months now. By far the hardest job I’ve ever did. The amount of running throughout your shift is crazy. No time for breaks and no time for food. 90% of the time I enjoy it but you know yourself you do get some bad days. All part of the game. Keep up the good work pal 💪
So true, thanks

I appreciate it, it’s certainly not my long term goals
A decent watch and good insight to the day to day workings of parcel delivering.. you have every right to be feeling down working through rain and wind encountering negative people who think you have all the time in the world & thinking they are the one and only... At least your making the effort to do right so kudos to you bud, hope you get what you want in life.

100% respect to you. Thank you for doing an amazing job.🙏🏽

Great Vid Zac and yes you're right there are toxic people in every line of work. You come across as an honest hard worker which seems a rare thing these days.

Nice video. Every job has its bad side and gets to people. That’s life. Looks like you’ve got a good attitude towards it
Big kudos to this man
Not only does he work his socks off for Amazon. He decides to make a documentary as well!

Great video, thanks for giving us an insight into one of your busiest days of the year. I hope the Amazon/DSP bosses watch this so they can work out what improvements to make to better support all the hard-working drivers. Cheers!

Great video bro i used to work as a delivery driver here in Austin TX and this job can be very stressful at times but to have a somewhat smoth and easy day you have to always organize your bags and overflow when loading your van

I thought this was an easy job but this video has made me appreciate how hard you guys work. Thanks for everything you do :)
Thanks Ed
I just want to say thank you for making this video I am going to start working for Amazon or UPS ect & i’ve always wanted an insight to what it was like to drive for one of these companies before I actually started and it looks like exactly what I’m looking to do for my main job.!
I used to drive doctors out of hours from call to call but it wasn’t good hours.
Thanks again 👍
Thanks a lot Adam I appreciate it
I can imagine it gets repetitive, as it did when I worked in a sorting warehouse. Once I moved up to being a yard marshal and got to know the drivers at my warehouse, I only ever had 2 drivers recognise me on the road. But 99% of my problems as YM working with the drivers were caused by Amazon's computer systems, it's like they are designed to make a 5 minute job into 20, and ground as many vans as possible. Generally 99% of the drivers were lovely, the best part of my working day back then was dispatch since I got to chat to all the drivers individually, rather than being stuck in the back of a lorry with piles of pallets.
It sure can feel repetitive
Blimey you were busy.Id feel totally overwhelmed being faced with all of those.Just shows how hard you guys work.Ive subscribed .Happy New Year to you.x
Thank you very much, happy new year x
Thank you so much for your service I never knew you had so much to do in 1 day! Appeaciate it mate. 👍
Thanks so much for the appreciation
Great video, I really enjoyed watching it, after seeing what you guys have to do I have the utmost respect for each and every one of you, well done this is hard work but I guess it can be rewarding too.
Thanks
I live in a flat. So I always order to my local locker. It’s a pisstake expecting drivers to come up. And deliver. They should make that a rule. Or give every block it’s own locker. That will increase orders and productivity
That’s cool I enjoy the lockers
Great video! Really interesting insight into something so many of us take for granted! Respect for sharing your work day! It looks tough - good on ya!! Would love to see more and maybe get some insight into how much Amazon drivers earn etc

This is a very tough job mentally and physically. I think you have the right personality and temperament and would make an excellent trainer for a newbie. I've done multi-drop before (many years ago as I'm 55 now and was doing it in my twenties) and know how hard a job it is so you have my full admiration.
Thanks so much for all the compliments, it’s highly appreciated 💪
Former Hermes and DPD driver here, I had some stress in those jobs (hermes parcelshop being the best), went for an "interview" with Amazon and ended up walking out and never coming back. I refused the job on the spot cos the stuff you guys do is insane! Massive respect to you all at Amazon! I've moved onto bus driving now and find it much better suited for my lifestyle.
What's the difference if any between hermes parcelshop and amazon? Thanks 😊
@@Gina-oi1gu you stop at maybe 9 shops and pick up a couple dump sacks full of parcels and then bring them back to the depot, after that it's job done. Very chilled out work, management was crap tho
Would you say there exactly the same? Hermes and amazon? Also would you say amazon is a bigger company than Hermes? Thanks in advance btw 😊
@@Gina-oi1gu not even close to the same, Amazon is a distributor whereas Hermes is a courier. Amazon compared to parcelshop is like apples to onions. Amazon would be closer to Hermes self employed courier work rather than Hermes parcelshop
@@havocfire1ten how long did you work for hermes and would you say they pay better than amazon? Thanks alot I really appreciate it 😊
Honestly - found this on my CZcams homepage and I have always been curious as to what a day is like for an Amazon driver. I take my hat off to you - you do such an amazing job! I have hit that subscription button and cannot wait to see more of your content!
Thanks so much
I order from Amazon and rarely if ever take a moment to think about what goes in to fulfilling the order. Thanks for this eye opener and mad respect, legend!
Thanks man
More of these please mate. Gearing myself up to become a delivery driver. This helps.
Best of luck, you got this
Become a bus driver, easier job and better paid.
What a fantastic and honest insight for delivery van drivers. The utmost respect. You looked shattered at the end of the day and no wonder.
This is something that I have considered and did have a go via amazon, for a day.
The positives.
Love being out and about.
Love driving.
Customers were awsome.
The negatives.
90 secs to make a delivery, if you go overtime and it builds up, you don't get paid for the late drops.
Didn't have time for lunch.
High multidrop is not a job for everyone, however, if it was not for my arthritis, I would have gone back, you have to be fit and patient.
A lot less drops, distance driving and not as much emphasis on timed deliveries would suit me better.
Perfect description on what is takes to be a driver, thank you for your comment
Amazing video Zac. You guys work so hard. Made me really appreciate what you guys do on a daily basis. Also needed to hear that reminder to be grateful in my work. I’m good at feeling sorry for myself. So thanks for the reminder. Keep up the great work on the channel. :)
Thanks a lot Jon
Great video Zac - really interesting - amazing how many deliveries you do in a day! I always give way to delivery drivers on the roads because you must be so busy .. love your energy! :)
Deserved these views mate.. was watching all your travel vlogs.. well deserved.
Thanks so much ahha yeah I’m happy with them
This is a pretty honest account of a day in multi drop.
Although I've not worked alongside this company, I spent a couple of years as a delivering supervisor for a SP alongside Y@d~l, running 10 vans. That's a lot of drops and I was working up to 20hrs a day.
People do not realise how much work goes into getting their product to them, really. During the several lock downs, delivery drivers from the various companies shifted mountains of home ordered items and are never properly acknowledged for their services. Just slagged off. That is a highly 'Karen' oriented attitude imo.
It's a tough job, you provide a cracking service to the community and anyone who begs to differ, has never tried to do it- to earn a living.
Much respect. 🤘
Fantastic comment man I can’t imagine working 20h days running 10 vans wow. Very true about the attitude lad this is tough graft
@@ZacJonesCZcams I really appreciate what delivery drivers do and always give the driver a big smile and always thank them. My son has is own van and is a delivery driver and is up pretty early to get to the depot to load up. Some amazon drivers have asked me to take in a parcel if my neighbour/ neighbours aren't at home to receive it. They put a note through their letterbox informing them that I,ve got it at my address. And I really like the fact that you can track how far away the driver is before he arrives at my address. Thousands of people should watch your video and appreciate all the hard work you do whilst they're sitting at home in a comfy chair waiting for their parcels.👍👏👏🙋♀️
Why did you throw that baphomet emoji? Are you a freemason?
Very interesting to see such a detailed perspective. Thank you for your hard work. Appreciate you a lot!

Waterloo, my home town - nice to watch. A few years ago I did Amazon Flex for a bit. We’d have about ~60 parcels and about 4 hr slots, but it was ALL ‘overflow’. No sorted bags like yours.
My main shifts are in Waterloo. It’s a tough route. Always stop at Co-op for a meal deal
Vital work and a great video. Great stuff mate. All the best!
Thanks Ben
Your video has made me appreciate my Amazon driver. Thanks for all your hard work Zac.
That ms fantastic, take care
Nice video. You guys earn your money. As you said several times attitude is everything that includes managers, customers, colleagues, and of course ourselves they can make or brake the day. Much respect to you my friend.
Thanks so much
I think you guys do a fantastic job, including the guys in the distribution centres. Considering most deliveries are fulfilled next day, and some the SAME day, you don't get the credit that is due I feel. But I for one, as a prime member, appreciate what you all do. I only wish my regular driver was as cute as this guy. 😉
Well done guys.
Hahahaha thank you, take care
I do this for Royal Mail. The workload is not as intense and the money is pretty good. But the fleet is in a shocking state, I once had to reload three times due to issues with the vans. I get all the parcels numbered according to route optimisation before I set off, to avoid hunting around in the back. The worst part is trying to find addresses once it gets dark, which can be a real pain in the arse, finally, I have been pleasantly surprised by the job satisfaction seeing parts of the area around my home town I didn't know existed and putting my feel up after the shift 😀
Thanks for the comment
What's the money like these days, and is it location specific
I'm an Amazon driver and am always taken a back by how terrible Royal Mail vehicles are. Ancient vans, faded paint, MOSS growing on the side door rails, seriously? I don't know of any other company which doesn't see new vans as a worthwile investment, especially one with such a long history and right to use "Royal" in the name.
This is in London too so these old vans are costing the company £12.50 a day each in the ULEZ fee as they are always 10-15 years old.
@@ZacJonesCZcams you sound mad scouse I live in huyton ever delivered there page moss
Yeah, seen posties still driving 58 reg small Vauxhall vans. You'd struggle to find any on the road, RM still keeps them though.
Brilliant mate you guys deserve a medal. Hopefully youtube will reward you. Thanks for sharing!

I think you do an amazing job you work really hard to get these parcels to customers some of the Amazon drivers don't always get it right but most do fair play to them, I shop on Amazon a lot I did all my xmas shopping on there and everything was delivered on time keep up the good work I really appreciate you and Thank you.
Thanks so much
I worked for Parcelforce for 3 years and also done Amazon Flex for 2. The work is great once you build up a routine, but really frustrating if you get a new route or unfamiliar with the area, I would allocate the parcels first drop being at the front of the van and the last at the back, I didn't care how much time it would take but it would save way much more time than going through once at each drop. Amazon seems like a lot more complicated with the OTP and asking for ID etc and the workload seems like quite a bit for all these new procedures I can imagine you do doing 9-11 hours, also when I did flex the routing wasn't very good it'll send you back and forth a lot which consumed even more time. Well played lad keep it up! 💯
Nice thoughts man. You’re certainly right the map can make mistakes. That’s great
That would be the logical thing to do with the parcels
@@jwilloughby6175 it really is, but each to their own. Some of the drivers just wanted to rush out the depot quick as possible thinking if they left early they'll finish early 🤷🏾♂️
Bang on once you get a regular area you can fly the parcels out , the worst is a new area which finding 1 house took me over 20 minutes to find ,
I did this job for 2 weeks and would get stressed just to see half of this load. Good job remaining calm in the middle of the storm 👏
Hahahaha thanks so much

Can be the same for supermarket home delivery, but the drops are far less given the quantity of orders per customer.
@@EinkOLED from my experience in both, supermarket delivery is far far easier, i had a lot of waiting around and designated break time, would quite often spend 45 minutes each shift reading a book waiting for the next time slot
@@EinkOLED trust me it's not. I work for Asda home delivery and I get 30 mins break most days if I am not late and the drops can be 10-15+ miles apart. So much better than this shit.
Did this for 4_5 months. So exhausting.I lost 3 stone in weight. I appreciate every single courier. it is a hard job at tines. 100℅ key worker role you guys do. In wind rain rain rain bit more rain and shine.
Thanks so much Neil
Fair play to you for doing so much filming, dealing with so many parcels and trying to stay up beat on the busiest day of the year. I worked at DPD before and I know it's hard flippin work!
Thanks a lot Andy - Can be tough
Keep up the good work mate! This video was a great to see what goes into our little taps on a phone screen. I hope more people see this.
Thanks so much Frazer
