hii, i appreciate this video sm , if you don't mind me asking, did you take notes for a level business? is it worth taking notes as the textbook is already so put together?
Hi Tamika! I did take notes - I think it depends on whether someone learns by taking notes or could remember by just having a read.
Hey Jamie I have my business paper in about a month and Iâm appearing for accelerated (As and A2 both) can you please guide me
Hi Jamie! such a helpful video thankyou, but how do you remember all the materials (key words, etc) / do you have any specific technique to remember it? cause it seems to be so heavy :(
and im thinking of taking notes per subcontent but is it too time consuming? how did you take notes? Thankyou!
Hi there! Glad u find this video helpful!
I took notes from my textbook, basically reading it and copying down any information that I think is important, for example, the key terms and some of the tables. Yes, it is time-consuming but I guess it was worth it for me because I pretty much remember better when taking some time to write it down and re-read it again later on.
For your question on how to memorize, making the notes is part of how I memorize haha I usually also revise my notes before assessments just to refresh my memory.
It might be overwhelming to memorize all the key terms and important points just a few days before the exam so I would suggest learning each chapter well from the beginning of the year. (or if the exam is near then learn every single day until the exam)
If you could find out how you learn best, it would be amazing! Do you find creating notes helpful? or maybe read and listen to your own voice? or understand better when discussing with others? etc
Other tips I shared in this video, like doing past papers and watching CZcams videos, also helped me understand the topics more.
@@jamesoen wow thankyou so muchhđ! if i wanna do past papers entirely, should i go from the latest past papers or from the oldest past paper? or if this is doesnt matter where i start?
@@whoisthis7968 if you plan to do every single past paper then I guess it doesn't matter as long as u understand each one? haha
I suggest practicing the newest/latest past papers since it might be more relevant (3-5 years back would be good) Anything more than that will be great!
@@whoisthis7968 Try reading through the textbook or other notes (I used ZNotes)

hi thanks for the video hpw can i satrat revision in 2 weeks any revision tips
Hi there! I assume that you already understand most of the topics in the syllabus since now you want to revise. Therefore, I suggest grinding the past papers in the remaining time before the exam. Practice doing it, then check the mark scheme. Keep on repeating until you nail it! Good luck for your revision!
hey!! do you have any tips on how to catch up. i havent really done much revision for any of a alevel subjects. and i feel as if im really behind
Hey Aiyana,
My advice would be to start reviewing the subject syllabus. See which topics you have completely no idea about and check your textbook or any other resources to learn more about them. After that, do some practice questions (especially for subjects like math). Repeat the process until you cover all topics! (if you have limited time, focus on reviewing topics you have no idea about first).
And of course, do past papers! Every time you get stuck, ask for help from teachers or friends and check your textbook or notes:)
Hope this helps, good luck with your revision Aiyana

how to answer 20 marks question? i tend to make it more descriptive than analytical
Hi! In short, similar to a 16 mark question, but heavy on evaluation. Add more judgements and justifications to get the evaluation marks.
HI, can I ask what are the different between paper 22,23 and 24? I really don't know which paper I should study(whether 22ă23 or 24)
Hi KE QI, maybe you can ask your teachers or where you will take the exam which version of the paper they are using. If I'm not wrong, the different versions of the paper might represent a different level of difficulty. However, I'd suggest practising with all versions of the past papers.
Hi Jamie, thanks for your video, I'm nasional curriculum student in my private high school, but I want to study A level math and physics subject for NUS UEE , can you give me some advice, which do I choose from this exam board level to study?

2. AQA
3 OCR
4. CIE
Hi Herve! I did CIE, but do not know which one to recommend. Maybe you can see the different papers and whether they are more similar or different to NUS UEE.
I would recommend AQA or Edexcel. They have the most resources related to the board.

Hi there, I made a video on Accounting already. You can find it in the videos section of my channel
Do you have any tips for AS level business? or is it the same as for A level?
Hi Nique! It's quite similar, but maybe for AS there's shorter answer questions? So maybe key words definition and adv/disadv needs to be memorized/understood very well
hi im giving the AS level business exam in feb, I'm not clear with my concepts but there's barely time so should I start with past papers or read the textbook again
My suggestion would be to go through the syllabus and see what chapters you are most unfamiliar with. Then, have a quick read of your TB about that chapter. Next, try finding a question from a past paper about that topic. You could think about the potential answers and take a look at the mark scheme. You can repeat until you feel confident about all topics! Good luck Mahi!

Can we complete our A levels syllabus of business in 4 months and can get good marks ? Please reply
Hi Aditya, it would be challenging to say yes or no as it depends on each individual's capabilities. However, you could learn a lot in 4 months, especially if you have great support and access to learning materials.

Is 4 months enough to study alevel business... This is coming from an past alevel student who is retaking her alevel business
Hi Jessee! In my opinion, 4 months is a decent amount of time to relearn the topics you struggle and revise the past papers as a whole. You already have an experience with the real exam too so you must've learned the syllabus and now, you don't need to start from 0. Be hopeful, be consistent and maximize every study time! Good luck!
Does this apply to As level as well

Is it possible to write in one year without previous knowledge
Would be challenging but one year is quite a long time to learn! If you learn intensively and practise a ton of past papers, I would say it's possible!
Can you please suggest important units/chapters because there are so many and 20days left for my examđ°
Sorry for the late response but hope your exam went well!!!
@@jamesoen yeah i Got A
@@mashfiquekamal4529 that's great! Congrats!
How can i learn the key words
They are hard to learn
And formulas as well for p3
Please help
Hi Kristin! For the key words, highlighting the key words on the definition might help. For example, the definition for Total Quality Management is 'an approach to quality that aims to involve all employees in quality-improvement'. Then maybe you can remember 'approach', 'involve all employees', & 'quality-improvement'. Understanding what the term really means can help a lot too instead of only memorizing.
For the formulas, try to understand what is in the formula. Like for example Net Profit Margin, the formula is Net Profit/Total Revenue. Understand that we want to find how much % is the Net Profit compared to the Revenue. Take your time to digest what each formula means. Understanding it is better than only memorizing it.
Of course it takes repetition & practice to engrain the formula in our memory. Keep on revising!
@@jamesoen thankyou Jamieâ€
@@kristinpaul9511 happy to help Kristin!
@@jamesoen i have just 7 days to prepare for p1 p2 and p3 and whenever i look at contents i feel like i don't know any chapter
Even the course of AS is hard to memorize
@@kristinpaul9511 Oo it must've to feel overwhelming! Since it's almost the exam, what I can suggest is probably to stay consistent in revising the topics towards the exam day. For example, if there's 20 topics, then revising 3-4 topics a day will do.
Also, remember to take regular breaks too in order to make the study session effective. All the best for ur preparation & exams Kristin!

But when I applied for UK university

Now I want to start paper myself
How many topics should I study to get A level qualification?
And
Can I prepare myself in A level Cambridge in business just in one year?
Thanks In Advance
Hi Hamza, for the topics you can kindly check the A Level Syllabus using the link in the video description.
I would not say it's impossible to learn both AS & A Level in a year as long as you put in the hours of studying consistently throughout the whole year.
If you've learned business before then it might speed up your learning too since you know about some of the topics already.
Of course, it would be more challenging learning everything in a year instead of two. But if you're only taking the paper for one subject and ready to put in the work, then it's completely viable.

Hi there! Wow, you just switched subjects and will soon take both AS & A Level at once. Must've been really challenging! I'm happy with your effort too by giving your best and studying day and night.
If you cannot do the P3 questions at all, I would suggest you start really small and learn how to answer each question. Start by writing one main point for each question, take a look at the mark schemes for ideas, and utilize your teachers by asking for guidance. Asking friends who are doing well in the subject can also be of great use in your circumstance.
Try to find out why you're not able to do P3. Are you confused about how to structure your answer? Maybe not master the topics? etc. Then take your time to learn what you need.
In studying, consistency is key. You still have a few months to go, so be sure to keep your stamina until the exam. Be careful to not burn out quickly by putting in unreasonable hours upfront and not being able to cope with the amount of study for the long run. Good luck with your preparation!

Hi there! Did you just finished your real exam??
Knowing revenue expenditure and capital expenditure help them categorise the expenditure correctly which will affect the Income Statement and also Balance Sheet. As a result, it will provide accurate financial information. Wrong categorisation can be misleading. For example, categorising NCA purcase as revenue expenditure will record the whole asset value as expense that year. NCA should be recognized as expense by calculating depreciation for the period of time.

@@jamesoen yes please help me with moving averages and how to score 20/20 in section b and would they ever put in strategic implementation in section a
@@michelllesawari4293 From my experience, Strategic Question is always in Section B and is a 20 mark question.
In Section B, the question has 3 Knowledge marks, 3 Application marks, 4 Analysis Marks, & 10 Evaluation marks. To get the highest possible marks, try tackling all of those marks. It is heavy on evaluation, so consider adding evaluation at the end of each paragraph/main point, and you can also add additional paragraphs specific for evaluation. (Ex. Long-Term/Short-Term, which is the most important factor & why)
For Moving Average, is there any specific parts that you don't understand yet? If you have the same textbook as mine, there's an example on Page 312, and maybe it can help you understand better.
