Genzebe Dibaba, an Ethiopian middle- and long-distance runner, clinched the silver medal in the 1,500 meters at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Furthermore, she secured a gold medal in the same event and a bronze in the 5,000 meters at the 2015 World Championships. Notably, Genzebe currently holds the world records for indoor events in the one mile, 3,000 meters, and 5,000 meters.

Seb coe dad said his training times showed could run a 3.26 1500m but like dibaba need the pacemakers to he good enough to take you further than they could then so to far a distance running on own

4:02 with 4min Rest and
6x800m between 2:04 and 1:58
with 4min rest in Front of a
Championship.
I come from Germany and there is
only 1 female Runner who achieved
4:02 last year in a competition
and no female athlete run 800m
in 1:58.
So, for me it is an insane training
result.
The accumulation of lactate must
be very high which lowers the
blood pH value. So, Dibaba has
a fantastic bicarbonate buffer.

Hello@@pck1166 Thank you for your comment , yes indeed it's INSANE training workouts, but keep in mind thatat workouts done by world record holder of the 1500m back in time, so that's why it's unique. About the PH values we don't have any information regarding this issue.

Thank you for your comment. It was reported that the workouts mentioned in the video are conducted in Sabadell city, Spain, situated 190 meters above sea level. Hence, it's not altitude training but rather focused on refining skills for the main race. These workouts are carried out during the competition period. As the report states, Dibaba performed one of the workouts (the 800m) 10 days before the 2015 World Championships.

I believe there's a small chance she could have run 3:47.
However, I don't believe that 800m session. Those times I've seen Paul Chelimo run. Not possible for a woman. I could be wrong but it seems too much.
