first for some game you need assist (assetto corsa and braking) then, in real life gt pilot have assist for example on assetto corsa competizione for the optimal lap time we need to use between 1/12 to 4/12 traction control and 2/12 to 3/12 abs. No assist at all cost you lap time. Then sending it is one of the best way to learn sim racing, because even if it takes longer to learn a track you know perfectly where the limit is at and its then much quicker to find limit on other car and other track because you understand a lot more the science around the grip and where to turn or not. The best way to learn a track is to look for the racing point by looking at races then do 1 or 2 lap slow and then sending it the most you can.
