As a drummer I would like to say "No Drummer, Very Big Problem". But the quality of both "drum machines" and even more so "virtual drums" are impressive and can sound very good, and even like "live" drums these days. Really for any instrument if you can write music.

I love drummers myself. They have better ideas than I do. But it's not always practical for me to record a drummer 😭😭

Nice. I gotta check out SSD5 one of these days.
Have you tried ML Drums? They have a pretty good free kit and some awesome expansions. I also like how they handle multichannel routing. Good clean modern drum tones!

I haven't. I'm quite happy with addictive drums 2, but was impressed with ssd5. I think ad2 sounds more natural, but ssd5 was easier to get closer to natural sounding.
I've heard good things about the ML stuff and like the quality of their amp sims, though.
