  • Weaving in ends can be tricky enough, without multiple colors going on, right? In this video, I demonstrate how to weave in ends when you're working with narrow stripes.
    The yarn used in the sample is Paintbox Wool Mix Chunky.

    I'm just about to finish my first shawl, which is the first flat piece of knitting I've done in tears so this is right on the money. Gives me the confidence to know I'm using the best method possible. Many thanks X

    A lovely tutorial! In my salad days, I took pains to finish every needlepoint canvas so scrupulously that the back of the work looked as neat as the front. The same principle applies to knitting. Thanks, Staci.

    Thanks for your videos. They are very helpful. Would you consider a video on weaving in ends in Fair Isle/Colorwork knitting?

    Thank you again! I'm knitting my first baby blanket (inspired by the Purl Soho Easy Blanket you posted a while ago), and at my 3rd colour change, the ends were driving me NUTS!!!

    Yours is the best way I’ve learned to weave in ends. Could you demonstrate how to weave in ends on the knit side of stockinette? I’ll be knitting a sweater this summer that has the purl side as the right side of the sweater. Thank you

    Stacy, do you have a video on how to weave in the ends of a double strand cast on? Like , do you cut the loop and then have three strands to weave in? The cast on is a different color than the ribbing

    I can’t tell if you have knotted the two colors together before you weave them in. Can you advise, please? Great video for the weaving!

    Do you knot the yarn of the two different colors together before weaving the ends?

    Please do a slow motion cast on in tubular 1 by 1! In the round!

      There is a 'settings' option to slow down any video. Click on the little sprocket 'settings icon' at the bottom right next to the 'cc' closed caption icon. Select what speed you would like to use. I use this feature a lot on any how to video.

    This looks very tidy, but a question I have is that as the fabric moves the little end you have sipped off starts to poke out. i am doing a scarf so both sides show. Little ends poking out on the inside of something like a sweater is ok, but not for a scarf… I cannot find a tutorial that solves my issue. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks 🙂

    • @Jesterjones9073
      @Jesterjones9073 Před 2 lety

      ok, so the only way i could prevent this was to get cotton threat the same colour as the wool and sew them in. Nothing I did prevented the ends poking out as the wool moved when wearing/washing it.... bit of a long process but it works well.

    I am so terrible at weaving in ends. I follow so many videos but after a couple wears, the weaving falls out. So frustrating.

      If your yarn is slippery and not staying woven in, I recommend this technique: czcams.com/video/j4iOwsf4smQ/video.html

      Mine too no matter what I do. I started using the tiniest spot of glue and wow such a difference and you cant feel it. Its not even a spot, its like a tiny spot ive wiped off my finger and I draw it thru as I split the yarn i am weaving into. Just the smallest amount at very end of the weaving in. I know its not the right thing to do but I got tired of my ends coming out.

    I am in need of "how to hold yarn in hand to get tension" I have been corrected in so many way I now have lost my confidence almost completely. I am a thrower so feeling overwhelmed by the corrections being said to me. Could you help/direct me to a video of yours that would help me?

    What if you are weaving ends into a striped blanket? Both sides are right sides (garter stitch; all knits, no purls)

  • @lindaharris1120

    I knit right handed but sew left handed because I'm a lefty. Do you have a tutorial for weaving in ends in garter left handed?

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  Před 2 lety

      I don't - but the technique is exactly the same, regardless of what hand you use to hold the tapestry needle.
