@@TheDepressedHollow Yes. It has a gimmick involving charged R2's producing a small blood explosion, which is really deceptively good. There's several good Ashes for it, but I think Endure+Charged R2 might make a decent situational "get off me" tool against some ganks.
I came across a guts cosplayer using this, literal nothing i could do. High poise, heavy poisebreaker weapons just made me open to a sleep into death combo.
@@bloodyidit4506 there’s a new talisman that buffs your status resistance by a whole lot after getting proc’d, I forgot the name but if you do have that talisman I suggest you use it, a lot of people are using the spread xbow now

Did they fix the ammo swap glitch? Where if you tune up r1 as you jump, and then quickly push r2 before you land, you shoot whatever's in the R2 slot, even if whatever is in the R2 arrow/bolt slot is a Great Arrow/Great Bolt. If that has not been fixed, it will likely be utterly busted on this Spread shot.
@@TheDepressedHollow the glitch was usable as recently as before the DLC patch. It worked with both small bows and crossbows. You would key up a normal arrow, like bone arrows to R1, and Golem Arrows to R2, and be able to rapid fire them from a small bow, if you jumped while pressing R1 and then R2 rapidly before your feet touch the ground. It also worked with crossbows.

Hopefully, they'll just nerf the status build-up on this so it won't be completely gutted as it is a fun crossbow to use, even if you hit with just one bolt
