I feel like it is a statement and reminder to the world that USA is the best basketball nation of the world by far. Them not winning the World Cup in September 2023 was disappointing and tiny Germany was like: hey look at us, we are so good we won I am german and I can only laugh about that! German basketball is bad. Even when I only look at the EuroLeague where german clubs placed and HOW they play.. it’s awful!
