Walmart employee was a recent hire too. At the end of your shift your cash drawer needs to balance out so hers would be short and that’s a red flag from the get-go. They had an eye on her already. Now she has this theft on her record, good luck with your future job search.
I was wondering about that. How can she explain that her drawer was short? You count your money before and after a shift. She was probably shorting her customers.

Man, this video taught me that Walmart doesn't have very good controls on their cashier tills. I worked at home depot 20 years ago and they would balance cash drawers and reconcile sales receipts every single day. If you were off by more than $20 they would talk to you. These Walmart employees were skimming large amounts of money for months at a time.
They let a case build so when they do confront you it’s a felony charge plus Walmart has a separate unit that deals with associate theft. This video doesn’t show the guys who called them it wasn’t loss prevention who figured it out 21:03 are the guys Walmart hire to track associate dishonesty.

I worked as an apartment maintenance engineer in Georgia and the leasing agent that I worked with started started taking cash money from residents to pay their rent. This was against company policy, but she never deposited the rent to the bank, she kept the money for herself. She had taken $32000.
One day she confessed to me in the office what she had done, she was apparently feeling guilty and stressed and just wanted to talk to someone about it. She asked me what should she do. I told her, the best thing that I could think of for her to do would be to be honest and tell the management what she had done and try to work it out with them. She did tell the management. They made her pay back the money and of course, she was fired but at least she did not go to jail.
Hey - I love watching your videos man. Thank you for all the hard work putting them together. May I give you a little criticism? You run a music track in the background that has very heavy bass. It is annoying to someone that has full range speakers, as all you hear whilst watching the video is a constant deep bass rumble, as though someone next door is playing loud music. Could you tone that down on future videos? I'll keep watching either way, but I'd appreciate it!
Agree with this. The content here is top notch, but that "tension" bassline is a bit much.

OK, I do not understand why it takes so long to catch an employee running a register for theft! At the change of shift, isn't the register total, matched with the cash drawer total compared to ensure it matches? If not matching, either the cashier is not making correct change, or ? pocketing it?
They wanna wait, so it adds up to a felony. Smart of Walmart. If they caught her for petty theft or not a large sum of money, then shes likely to only get probation or charges dropped. A felony is different, that's big time trouble.
Depends on the store, the employees are often swapping off registers all day rather than being "assigned" to one, and the money just gets counted by a machine at the beginning or end of the day. Once the shortage is noted, then they have to investigate who worked that checklane that day. Then they keep an eye on that person and try to get proof. They're not necessarily trying to let that employee rack up a certain dollar amount, they just need a lot of proof because wrongfully accusing an employee of theft would be extremely bad for the company.
Listen and follow the officers' instructions, and everything goes smoothly. Got it!
These people make it so bad for all of us consumers. We are the one's who have to pay for these people's theft. It is so not fair. We are all struggling right now not just them.
