Loved the unboxing of the restored V6 lump. Such a cool sound on full send!
We have a lot of V8 Miata’s here in the states they use a kit called monster Miata and use the LS engines. The engine fits well it used CTSV drivetrain. They seem uncontrollable they wheel spin at highway speed. I’ve seen footage of one on a circuit really trying hard to keep it from sliding around. They look like fun for drag racing though
Hi Danny. Yes they are very lively :)
Can't wait to hear that beast fire up.
Me nither :)
That's a big lump in a small hole (Oh Er Missus), excellent work as always and so very tempting as ever
Thank you Colin it's much appreciated :)
Great work, as usual, cheers !!!
Thank you 👍
Fantastic work looks like it was made to be there
Thank you Dan :)
As always a great video thanks you!
Thank you for your continued support Eddie :)
Great to find another Rocketeer in Yorkshire ! I'm in Skipton so I'll pop over sometime and you can see the finished article 🙂
Hi Rupert, it is a customer's car but im sure he would love to compare :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration yeah, would love to meet up - are they local as well ?
@@rupertreader368 over in Sheffield 70 miles ish
I'm looking forward to the next videos for the Rocketeer Build
Won't be long now :)
Great work as usual. Now light the blue touch paper........🚀
Hi Bazer, it is going to be a rocket ship :)
would LOVE to see a lot more of that adapter plate between trans and engine block (and info on why the hole was cut in the tranny bell housing)
The cutting is to mount the starter motor I believe
There will be more as the rest of the engine is assembled :)
I do know quick change make some bellhousing for that 3.0 duratec engine
Fantastic work as always fits like a glove keep it up guys 👍👍
Thank you Lee, we will have to put one in your MK3 / NC :)
As much as I love my 2016 Mk4, I'd love to own a 'Rocketeer'....Can't wait to see it up and running! 👍
I can't wait to take it for a spin :)
@@yorkshirecarrestoration Yeah!...lucky chap!...not that am jealous 🤢
I emailed the Bruce (I think) the founder of rocketeer ltd and he siad they are possibly going to bring this engine swap to the ND too :)
@@_Jonez_ I'd like to hope they can, (Fairly Easily) I know 'Flying Miata' had lots of electronic issues swapping the V8 into an ND
i am guessing you put the clutch back in ?? this is going to be a rocket ship !!
Hi Karen, yes clutch was attached to the engine as it went in :)
it went in easy . i still want a 13b one
Me too 😁
👍👍👍👍👍👌👌
Thank you Pablo
My lord! How much engine does an MX5 need! Looks the DBs though. Ps that must be your brother?
Hi Anthony, it is a lot of engine and yes it's my brother :)
It s a great project I admire your enthusiasm 😀 .
Thank you :)
Great work guys. Must be disappointing to not be able to refurb all the rusty bits, but, customers know what they want.
Just wondering why you didn’t use the recommended method of assembling the whole subframe, suspension, rack and gearbox then roll the whole assembly under the car then lower it back on? I’ve got a kit on its way and appreciate these build videos for tips when my kit arrives.
It was just easier for us this way having an uneven surface under the car with pit boards :)
Guys regarding to the assembly, wouldn't be easier to assemble the engine block first then attached the gearbox or your method and sequences is easier, please forgive my limited knowledge and looking to learn from you guys.
When will we see more of this car finished… desperate to see a test drive
We are currently moving to a new unit but we are straight back on it as soon as we are in :)
Are you going to sell the car ?
Could you use that engine in mk1 ford capri
dont know never tried :)
Can you run ac with this?
What’s happened to the young chap on your earlier videos?
He’s in the other videos :)
Where is part 3?
It's here Eddie czcams.com/video/mkmSMhpYJ9Y/video.html
