  • My Jet Bandsaw guide bearings have frozen on me and I was in need of a new set, both top and bottom. I heard about Carter guides and decided to do a little research. I read some good reviews and decided to go with them. Having questions about which exact guides I needed for my Jet bandsaw, I thought I would give Carter a call. They were so helpful and pointed me in the right direction. Once I received the guides, I got out the tools to swap them out with the old ones. They fit perfectly and it was very simple to attach them to the bandsaw. I wish I had done this a long time ago. So, if you are in need of new Bandsaw guide bearings give Carter Products a call.

I turned my 14 inch Lincoln bandsaw from1979 into a 26 inch throat, 17 inch high capacity saw & it worked terrific. I just installed the Carter blade guides & cut some 1/2 inch cold rolled plate. HOLY COW! Never thought that guides were that important if your saw was set up correctly, but the Carters took it to a new level. Cut was almost like it was machined on the mill.

It used to be that you would have to know 1000 people with a bandsaw to know 50 people with the same problem to know five people who fixed that problem, and maybe, just maybe one of those found a good replacement solution. Now with the Internet you can go directly to a video like this and immediately find the best solution for your exact problem and machine. Great video, and watching you tune the saw after you put the new bearings in makes me feel like I would basically have a brand new saw after the bearings and tune. 👍

Thank you! I went from bearings not spinning to a set that is so smooth. Plus it gave me a chance to give it a good cleaning and tune-up. My Table was out of square for I don't know how long.....Like a new bandsaw!!! and quieter....

“Never liked the finger tightening system” 😮😮😮 Not an excuse for not replacing the ball bearings, but buying a whole set of guides. I’d accept if you said that you like the Carter guides better because of their high quality.

I didn’t like the finger tightening either. Carter system is a lot better in my opinion. Thanks
