      I used to do bloopers at the end, but then I kept forgetting, now I just do it as I go ☺️

    A very nice and honest video! Our diets should reflect our values but don't stress us out beyond reason either (like when we eat at other people's places or are stuck at a bus station somewhere).

      Thank you so much ☺️ I agree! We do our best to uphold our values and be kind to others, but that includes being kind to ourselves! PS your channel looks adorable and I subscribed, but then I realized I can't understand anything 🤣 still looks amazing tho!

    Great Q&A Part 1 Episode II :)
    Love the look of the flowers in your garden and, of course, Leo!
    It's too bad there aren't many affordable vegetarian options, because for a lot of people budget is limited. Also, it would be great if such products were properly regulated and labeled truthfully. Here products in general often aren't even properly labeled for allergens, although this has changed for the better in the recent years. Also, as someone who can't digest chocolate/cocoa very well anymore, I would love if products were labeled for that too, but that's just me:D

      Leo is the best kitty (all kitties are the best kitties 😻)
      It can be really frustrating when products aren't correctly labeled. Sometimes they have misleading info,but it is getting better here, also.
      That's a bummer, that you can't digest chocolate, it can be a hard ingredient to avoid when we have a sweet tooth, a lot of things have it and there are very few alternatives! Let's hope we get good chocolate alternatives soon ☺️

    • @yawningmarmot
      @yawningmarmot Před 2 lety +1

      @@BeetTheRush Yeah, it is. I don't even crave chocolate that much, it's just hard sometimes to find things like cookies that don't have it listed as one of the ingredients. And if you also want cookies without any kind of cream filling/covering, your choices become rather limited :)

    Leo is super adorable :) they stole the video spotlight! :D
    Some vegans I've met get super angry/daggers for eyes, if a person gets it wrong with the vegan lifestyle.. like, they ought to be the nicest calmest about it, but they aint! (honestly, who can begrudge a slice of cake?!) Then there's a few vegans who are welcoming, friendly, and willing to help others join the cult.
    I don't partake in milk, or butter, and I rarely eat eggs but if its in something that's fine. I have vegan cheese, but am happy to eat regular stuff if I'm out and about with friends. I don't consider myself vegan, yet I almost live that way. I think I'd label myself as a vegetable-person.
    Vegan products are almost reasonably priced here in the UK, but I'd rather be rewarded for not eating animals by having cheaper food :) ..though I did find in Lidl, vegan "choc ice", the chocolate covered vanilla ice cream on a stick thingy. It's coconut and water I think, I forget the ingredients, it's almost passable :)
    Also, I want chickens too, for the eggs and clucking good times. Glad you don't have a rooster, they hardly lay any eggs for some unknown reason that has alluded science :O
    That Monty Python quote, I like it, so I'm pinching it off ya!

      Immediately, I should start labeling myself as a vegetable-person! It's the best label! I eat "vegan" most days and I try my best to buy vegan and cruelty free products, I believe I've earned the right to call myself a vegetable-person ;)
      Most vegans are kind and helpful, but me being a bit of a coward ( it's one of my favorite Monty python quotes ) I don't really want to face vegan rage :)
      I've tried those Lidl ice creams and I kinda like them. They have a bunch of new ones now that I'm excited to try!
      Chickens are pretty cool, and they eat all my veggie scraps, so they don't end up in the regular garbage. Roosters are kinda silly and agressive and the no eggs thing doesn't help!
      Leo is precious but very silly because he has 1 canine left, basically toothless, but he believes he can bite like every other cat. Adorable

    I feel you on the part of being judged so harshly by other vegans if you call yourself a vegan but don't follow everything completely by the book, though I feel like it's mostly an online thing. I'm vegetarian and while I can see myself a mostly vegan diet one day, I too don't think it will be a complete switch as I would still want to eat my families vegetarian food (which will often contain dairy products) and I think that's fine.
    I feel like that online community of vegans is a bit too hardcore, they even treat vegetarians as if they have no morals, and have no issues cutting off family members that disagree. Not as easy when you are of an ethnic background

    I call myself a 99% Vegetarian, I only eat meat when I am in a situation where I have been given a meal with meat and its eat it or throw it away I don't want the animals sacrifice to go to waste. if I am close to home I'll take it to my cats.

    • @BeetTheRush
      @BeetTheRush  Před 2 lety +1

      Giving it to your cats is a nice idea, I'd probably do the same if that happened to me. I agree that throwing meat away is very disrespectful to the animal!
