Horizon is the sistership to the vista. I was on the Vista and I loved it . I will be saving money because I’m for NYC no plan tickets ha ha
I must of watched this 100 times in my room on the carnival vista just to hear the New England Lobster men and the cool jingles and songs. 😂

Looks nice and fun. I like how Carnival decided to built newer, fun, bettter & bigger ships. I went on two cruises in the past and all ships were old and small.

This ship looks great. I am stunned by the animation and the entertaining, witty narration. I think the 'Captain' giving a tour aboard the Skyride bikes was the best. This is part of the Vista-class, so the great features, layout and places on the Vista will be here. This follows the protocol of cruise lines to develop a ship (the Vista) and then finalize the plans for the next ship in the class (the Horizon) once they can see what works and doesn't work so much when the ship is released. While the Fantasy-class of the 90's had 7 ships based on the Fantasy (most successful class in history), newer classes like the Conquest class and Dream Class only have 4 and 3 ships, respectively in each class, so as the ships have gotten bigger (and more expensive) the number of ships in the class have gotten smaller. That's fine with me, since the less ships in a class means some great ships and less time until the NEXT class comes out. :)

Hi I just came off a cruise which was Dec. 2-9 was great the Cruise director Alex was a great entertainer and the people that clean the was awesome so so nice.

It's interesting to see the subtle differences in the theme of the next ship in the class and also the new restaurant. This one brings at least TWO new spots (a departure from the Magic/Breeze and the Conquest-Class ships)... the Teppanyaki asian and (the one I'm most pumped up about) Guy's Smokehouse and Brewery, plus the Dr. Seuss water park. A shady spot and a good book- maybe a Rick Warren special... hallelujah!

I've been on 4 Norwegian cruises and one Royal Caribbean. Tomorrow I'm going on my first Carnival cruise. Norwegian is so far my favorite. I don't like Royal Caribbean at all!

Yea, it looks like a 2nd ship in the Vista-class. It's interesting how cruise lines like Carnival and Royal will wait a little bit once the lead ship in the class is released to see what works and what doesn't so much before finalize the plans for the next one in the class. Smart. I'm excited as it will give more people a chance to experience a Vista-class ship. I loved the animation! Havana cabana room for me, please! (kids, grow up... I know you are only 8 months old but c'mon... have you seen those rooms lol). At least there is the family harbor rooms!
