Me too! Happy New Year
I have a group sailing on the Celebration in June.
I can't wait - sailing on her April 2023
Yes girl us to can’t wait 🎉
How was it?!?
My parents were on the inaugural cruise of the original Celebration and I had booked a cruise for my Husband and I for the inaugural cruise for this Celebration. Unfortunately I had to cancel it as my husband did not get the vacation time he was expecting. I am bummed, but we still have the cruise in the presidential suite on the Mardi Gras coming right up.
We just got off the Mardi Gras in suite 14498. An Excel Aft suite. We had Mold, Mildew, Electrical issues, Plumbing issues. It was an absolute NIGHTMARE! We hope you have a better time than we did. Several others in the Aft suites on our cruise had similar issues with their suites having leaks in the bathroom/shower. The Lido deck has MAJOR bubbling and cracking on it. They are trying to patch it but it looks worn out!
@@music13732 So Sorry to hear. I hope you can enjoy another cruise later.
Just booked for 2/4/2024!!🏝🏖🍹🍻
April 2023 cant come soon enough.
It was great. The only issue we had was the soft drink dispensers hardly any of them were working. Most of the time we had to go to the bars to get refills of soft drinks. So be warned if you buy the soft drink package. We had a great time the Celebration and all of its 6k passengers were having an awesome time last January. Now let’s try the Carnival Dream……….
Going on first 7 day cruise November 27th
Have a Fantastic time!!
She’s beautiful 🎉🎉
See you in January for three weeks 🎉
Wish there were some unique restaurants between these Excel class ships. Looks like Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee will all have the same specialty restaurants
Going on the Mardi gra in 11 days can’t wait
They don't have a theater😮
SPRING BREAK!!!!!
Family Reunion on Celebration in June!
Mi sobrina viaja a recibir el barco en finlandia
Schedule Md to sail in January 😊
I went on the carnival mardrigas and shortly after i went on the symphony of the seas and i don’t think I’ll book carnival again after going on royal
Gracias.
Come on January!
with the cheers package can you get mock drinks should not have alcohol
If the Celebration has a Miami zone I hope the Jubilee has a Texas themed rodeo zone or something, I'm on her second sailing can't wait

Wow....thx for the heads-up!
@@sharonjackson9081 Yeah...Carnivals big ships are really just Wal Mart the day before a Hurricane..all.. day...long All night too
@@ryanmatthew511 I've never experienced this problem. 14+ cruises with Carnival, 8 with RCCL, and a few expedition cruises in the past. For a "walmart ship" ..
@@nathanc5789 you have been very lucky my friend.
@@ryanmatthew511 23 On Carnival and 5 on Royal. They both have their issues.
isnt this mardi gras?
Lol srry p&o uk is bttr
It looks like my worst nightmare.7000 something people, no way to get away from them except a tiny cabin.
On the Marti Gras and Celebration hopefully they moved the passengers cabin phones from under the shelf, a huge safety violation, to the wall where the chair is located and increased the font size on the phone speed dial labels.
I reported these design and safety flaws when I was on the Marty Gras to Guest Services, Director of Housekeeping and several ship officers who viewed my observations in my cabin.
As to the public restrooms, venue capacity and stage sound flaws on the lido deck and center stage in the middle of the ship, much work needs to be done for proper functionality as they really detracted from a positive experience for the masses.
With over 40 years of design, new product development, safety and failure analysis engineering experience, I was shocked theses safety and functionality design flaws were not caught and fixed in the early design phases.
FYI it's spelled Mardi Gras.
❤O💙M🖤G🤍!?💛
Figure out how to keep the riff raff off the god damn ship and maybe people will consider Carnival cruise lines in 2022.
Just returned from Marti Gras. From major design flaws in safety, comfort, form to basic functionality, we are going back to the Vista Class. ❤️Vista, Horizon and Panorama:
This ship is nothing more than a large cargo container ship, the economy of scale only benefiting CCL at the passengers expense.
Every single venue or feature simply doesn’t have the capacity to handle the 5300 to 6300 passengers. As a result one ends up waiting, waiting and waiting for everything or so overcrowded it’s simply NOT enjoyable.
In fact, 90% of our “awake time” on the ship was waiting or giving up on the venue overcrowding, simply way too many people.
As far as food quality; awful compared to our 50 years of Carnival experience.
In fact, we all re-named one eating venue to “Sh*tBang”.
Pictures, videos and plenty of case numbers with Guest (NO) Services documenting massive shortcomings and horrible treatment by the staff.
If this is Carnival’s future, they will not be in ours and the thousands who stated the same aboard the ship.
Mardi Gras is a prototype for the Excel class and unfortunately due to the pandemic the November 2022 arrival date of Celebration is a direct carbon copy of the Marti Gras, now 2 horrible dysfunctional prototypes.
If there are not major redesigns to the Jubilee, all 3 ships will need major refitting’s to compete with the 3 Vista Class Ships and growing competition in the cruising industry.
The CCL Excell class will destroy Carnivals loyal customer base just as it has done with us and thousands aboard our cruise stating “never again Carnival”.
Both the ship and the company are NOT the Carnival we grew to ❤️ over our last 50 years with Carnival. As they say, “all good things must come to an end”, Carnival Cruise Line, sadly, is no exception to that rule.
Well, we are only Platinum, so not 50 years of sailing with Carnival, but we have sailed on Mardi Gras twice this year, and enjoyed both times. We've also sailed enough to not really concern ourselves with catching every event. We have most of our fun meeting new friends, and enjoying being on vacation. As far as "thousands" you encountered with the same negativity, I doubt that will "destroy" Carnivals' customer base. Some of us realize that we're still in the Covid era, and ships are short staffed. As I always say, "a bad day of cruising beats a good day at the office".
@@keithapplewhite9871 Thank you for your response.
Carnival set the standards of top quality in all areas of which they are being measured by the masses.
To be clear, this it’s not “just us complaining”, it’s a systemic problem at Carnival Cruise Lines voiced by thousands of our fellow passengers during our recent Carnival Marty Gras cruise:
1: Marty Gras Physical Layout
The Marty Gras is not designed to handle the double occupancy rates in all categories other than the cabins themselves.
There are constant traffic flow bottle necks, lack of seating for every entertainment venues requiring passengers to wait up to 2 hours prior to start of a venue just to get a seat.
Only 15% of the seats at the Grand Central center stage in the middle of the ship actually can view the stage and the ambient noise of passengers walking by and talking is extremely irritating for both the talent on the stage and passengers trying to listen.
As such the talent’s mics are turned way up which becomes an irritating noise tunnel. Their top entertainment venues were performed at this dysfunctional stage, which was never designed to
accommodate the large number of passengers wanting to attend. Big frustration for the masses.
Though the Marty Gras has a significant number of pools and hot tubs, they do not have the capacity for the number of passengers and thus become quickly overcrowded. As such many passengers are literally left out of the Marty Gras water venues.
Deck 16 to Deck 8 muster station where our life jackets were located took 15 minutes to reach from our cabin using the bottlenecked stairs. In a real emergency this is way too long to reach our life jackets. If I had know this we would have taken our own life jackets just in case.
2: Quality of Food, Variety and Quantity.
Carnival boasts about cutting its food waste in both preparation and what is being thrown out on passengers plates. I fully support this goal but they have taken it way too far with negative results:
The portions are so small one needs to reorder appetizers, main dishes and deserts. Thus the serving staff is running to keep up and the dirty dishes have now exponentially increase due to the small portions. This requires more labor, washing chemicals and fresh water. Penny wise and pound foolish Carnival!
Some items such as shrimp, lobster and steak, the portions are so small that they become dried out or turn into rubber as a result.
Food items that should not be served for various reasons are served, some not even edible. This increases the amounts of food thrown away on passenger plates while increasing customer dissatisfaction.
Even the premium sea food venue @ $40ea had dozens of complaints about bad quality, “not worth the price”. Thus, we skipped the venue so I can’t personally speak to their claims of “bad quality”.
Lack of variety:
On my 2017 8 day Carnival Vista Cruise the quality, portions and variety simply top notch. On Marty Gras I order the tropical fruit platter:
A small piece of dehydrated watermelon, a non-edible pineapple core and 4 unwashed grapes. No mango, papaya, passion fruit, star fruit etc. as was served on our tropical fruit dish during our 2017 Vista Cruise. I ask our awesome server if they had actual tropical fruit. “Nope, that’s it.” Our top notch server even apologize for the poor quality & variety of what was served.
3: Staff
The staffed was significant over worked, many undertrained and the excursion staff flat out rude and unprofessional on all levels.
Key staff even stated their own onboard accommodations are vastly less than they were on the Vista class ships, “a real downgrade”.
I understand the labor shortage due to the pandemic but we were told by multiple staff they were 100% fully staffed so this it is not a lack of staff due to the pandemic. Rather, its costs cutting by Carnival to an unacceptable levels in all categories.
A flashy new ship does not make a great ship or positive customer experience.
With 45 years of quality control and failure analysis engineering experience, proper design, top quality food & materials, top training and quality control on all levels creates top employee & client satisfaction, retention and positive customer referrals.
Conclusion, Carnival Cruise Lines are simply not the cruise line that we grew to ❤️ over the decades.
We hope Carnival Cruise Lines take our critiques to heart for much needed improvement translating them into positive action for everyone’s benefit fostering win/win/win outcomes.
Finally, from first time to seasoned Carnival passengers, the mass consensus overwhelmingly stated they would not travel on the Carnival XL class ship again and many of the passenger’s independently recommended the same “other cruise line” over Carnival Cruise Line.
With our unacceptable experience of Carnival food selection, poor food quality, lack of staff professionalism to dysfunctional and unsafe ship design of the Marty Gras, we are in fact taking their advice booking our next cruise on the vastly highly recommended “other cruise line” and their “superior competing large ship(s).”
Blessings on your day.
